The Orpheum
It is an amazing venue, but seemed a bit tired in some places. Needs tlc to be brought back to full splendor! Music was great and guest conductor was amazing. Very talented and brought the symphony along with her! Really beautiful interior.

The Orpheum
A lovely performance venue. The theatre has great acoustics and is so charming inside. It's a treat to see shows here just because of the grand architecture in the lobby. They serve drinks, which is nice, but no food. Easy to find yr seat because they have ushers at all doors into the theatre. Enjoy your show!!

Came here to see the West Side Story performance with live music by the VSO. The seats are wider and more spacious then the QE, and very comfortable. A grand old venue that has been kept up in great shape.

A great place to take in a concert. The sound is great without having to be overpowering. The facility is fun in an old-world way.

Loved the venue and they have done so much to make it look amazing. My only complaint would be that air circulation was not all that great. I don't blame the CoV as I'm sure they are doing what they can given the old building. More air movement would be great.

The place is more than beautiful. The design and decoration inside is classical and neat. The seats are traditional and tiny, which would be a little hard for people to get in and out.

The Orpheum Theatre is a must see when visiting Vancouver or wanting to enjoy a night out in style. The original theatre on Granville Street opened in 1927, as a vaudeville house, but closed for demolition in 1969. The New Orpheum, was renovated, restored, and re-opened in 1977. In 1979 it was designated a National Historic Site of Canada and has since been the permanent home of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and a popular live theatre and music venue. The theatre and its neon sign have been used in the filming of several popular television series and movies, adding to its popularity and nostalgia. I highly recommend visiting The Orpheum on your next visit to Vancouver.

It’s a pretty theatre. It’s aged for sure, but there were no weird scents lingering. The viewing experience during the show was excellent. The seats were ok, not as cushy as the newer movie theatre seats. The ushering service was decent.

The Orpheum is a famous theater in Vancouver of British Columbia with a history of 96 years. It started out as a vaudeville hall, later became a movie theater, and became the main venue for the Vancouver Symphony in 1977, with occasional cross talk or other performancesTonight, American opera tenor Gregory Kunde soaring high notes here, nearly seventy years old, in full swing. The performance of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra is great. The most impressive thing for me is the sound of the Harp. Although it is only a harmonic accompaniment, the performer is extremely performative, with a soft and tender voice, full of poetry, and the lingering sound lingers in my mind.I haven't been to the theater for many years, I didn't expect to sit quietly for two hours enjoy the audio-visual feast
