Grosse enseigne… ouvert de 0800 à 1600.1552, c’était déjà fermé. Attendu 3 minutes et un douanier est venu nous dire de faire Demi-tour. Merci aux Américains qui nous ont laisser passer sans faire de flafla.

The oddest border crossing I have ever encountered. You enter a building that looks like a high tech car wash or possibly a set from Clockwork Orange. Do not make the mistake of driving to the window where there should be a human being. A voice will tell you to back up to the machine that looks like an ATM on steroids. You have to scan your passport like in an airport or swipe your drivers license. You will be questioned by the voice and finally allowed to enter Canada. I still wonder where the voice came from? Is this the future of border crossings?
