The staff at this studio are exceptional! The front desk staff are helpful and welcoming, the teachers are well-trained, upbeat and encouraging! The owner, Meghan, is an expert who takes the time to talk with and LISTEN to students. The studio is clean and well-cared for.

My dad and I would go to classes together 3 days a week or so for a few years. Megan and all the instructors here are so amazing. Our whole family moved to Alberta and it’s been a year & a half.. I have yet to find a studio that even compares to this studio. No exaggeration lol. My dad says the same as well. If you live in barrie or anywhere near barrie, I highly highly recommend going here.Miss the Namaste North team & classes dearly❤️

Great experience and very friendly instructors. The change rooms are great. Only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because the studio space is too small. I can't fully stretch out without touching the person next to me and I'm only 5'2.

It has been 3 years since I moved to the U.S. and haven't been back to this studio that I never stop talking about and miss. I loved the teachers, I was growing and bonus I was losing weight. I miss you guys!

Fantastic hot yoga studio in Barrie. I dropped in for a warm flow class and was not disappointed! Knowledgeable teacher, friendly staff, and overall a cute studio space. The practice space is heated appropriately and has props. I can't wait to visit again! Thanks for a wonderful class.

I have had nothing but positive experiences at this studio over the last few weeks. I purchased a Black Friday intro offer for 45 days, and I already know I will be sticking around longer than that. The classes have all been lovely, with wonderful & kind teachers. So grateful to have found this place!

My visit was back in March 2022. I didn't know it was going to be a hot yoga class, which is something I have never done before until doing a class at Namaste North. The staff are friendly, washrooms are super clean, and the class itself was a lot of fun. I remember it being a quiet setting in the beginning, and it was peaceful. The classroom, being a warmer environment, drove me to push myself during the session. Finished the class happy and energized!

It’s tough to decide on how many stars to give because there’s so much that I truly love about the studio, but there’s a lot about the way classes are taught that did not work for me. I will preface this by saying that, while this is my personal opinion, I have completed my yoga teacher training, and I have practised yoga for almost 30 years at a multitude of studios across Ontario in many different styles.Positives:I love the friendliness and the vibe about the studio and the warmth that the staff shows. It is clean, bright, and nicely appointed.Areas for Improvement:1. Space in the studio is really limited. Parking is challenging.2.The instructors seem scripted as the wording is almost identical between two different instructors for the same class.3. I r.e.a.l.l.y. don’t like how the instructors call people practising by their names. When I taught yoga, I always invited people in the class to raise their hand if they were uncomfortable being adjusted. I think the same should go for being called by name over a speaker. Further, people were praised and corrected by name.4. There were also comments made about how people were “late“ or “early“ coming in and out of poses and that how “one’s practise on the mat mimics their day-to-day life.” It is important to allow people to practise at their own pace, honouring the need to hang out in a pose or take longer to settle into a pose. All of this should be experienced without judgement, or praise. The terms “late” and “early” don’t belong anywhere in a yoga practise.5. There was correction of pose variations which I know to be inconsequential. One instructor was also snapping and clapping loudly to cue changes and both were incessantly talking, encouraging people to “Push! Push! Push!” and to go “Back, More Back, All the way back!”, as well as saying “Last chance to…”Overall, both classes had a distinctly western vibe really lacking in the key pieces of a yoga practise, like Ahimsa, that, for me, are essential to the yoga experience. At the end of the class a woman came in for the next class and loudly complained, “God it stinks in here!” while I was trying to hang out in Svasana for a little longer. Svasana over. That said, I felt physically great after the classes and the reception staff seem fabulous; it just depends on what one is looking for.
