Went here today for lunch and was blown away. We tried the butter chicken and the chola bhatura. The order of butter chicken came with either naan or rice. I ordered it with naan and added rice as a side. We also ordered the masala chai. Service was fast and efficient. The food however was AMAZING. The gravy with the butter chicken was flavorful and the chicken itself was juicy. The naan was a star all itself and the chai was tasty. The chola bhatura was new for us and the chickpea mixture combined with the cucumber sauce were so tasty. The bread pocket served alongside was perfect for scoops of chickpea and sauce. The tamarind sauce that came with it wasn't a favorite , but it was phenomenal even without. We ended up sharing everything because it was just so good. Definitely recommend.

Must try their chola bhatura best in Canada. They are open only from 11 am to 2 pm and 4pm to 9pm and closed on Monday. It's worth to make a trip to moncton just to have their choley bhaturey .I have not tasted such even in India. They are the best.

This is the best Indian restaurant I've had the chance to experience in Moncton.First let's talk about the atmosphere which is top notch, not too much noisy just a calm vibe all around with indian music and Indian art all around.Secondly the service was great, the waiters were really friendly and helpful, the only con about the service would be the waiting time for the ones that are impatient.And last but not the least, the food was amazing, sure it is a bit more pricy when compared to the other ones in Moncton, but the quality is something that they've never compromised.Had the Pakoras for starters, then naan bread with kadahi paneer and veg jafrezi all of which were top notch!Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to try North indian food.

Food was delicious! Aromatic, flavourful and proper portion sizes, not huge but good enough to not over eat. The service was fast and friendly. We are definitely recommending to friends and family.

We went with a group of 11 people and ordered both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.VegetarianStarter- Chili Panner was awesome, we liked so much that we had ordered twice.Main Course- We have ordered dal Makhni, Kadai Panner and Malia Kofta. They all are good in taste. Generally, we saw Malia Kofta gravy sweet in taste, although in Taj you will find spicy which is good for the people who likes Malia Kofta spicy.Breads-Onion Kulcha taste was best, Garlic Naan, Butter and Plain Naan was also good.Non-vegetarianWe tried Rogan Josh and Chicken Tikka Masala those were good in taste.Area of improvement:1)Ambience- the lighting should be proper among restaurant and the wall paintings should be catchy.2) Starter- the items should be more for vegetarian like Chinese -noodles, Manchurian or South Indian - dosa, idly or chap3) Quantity- it was less, you can increase the price little bit,however please increase the quantity of food.4) Drinks - Mango Lassi please make it sweet. Looks like the mangoes that was used in preparing the lassi that was sour in taste, although presentation was good.

Very tasty and authentic food served in a comfortable atmosphere. All dishes are ala carte. I had the mutton saag, naan and rice, which was very, very good. Service was the very best ever.

Went for a quick lunch. Cleanliness okay, Ambience okay, staff friendly. If we order a veg Thali it will look like a typical Indian hostel canteen/PG food. Neither pricey nor generous in quantity but worth a visit during lunch hours.

One thing I like about this place is that the people are very friendly. They greet you with warm welcome and make you feel at home. The ambience is absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere at the Taj Mahal gives you a feeling of being in a authentic Indian restaurant. I met the owner of this establishment in person. He is a young and very energetic person with a pleasant personality. He has an excellent team of professionals who are passionate and proud of their work. Not only I see them take their job seriously, but also I did notice that they enjoy what they do. A real customer service is shown here. The waitress led me to a well set table and ensured that I was comfortably seated. She then asked me if I would like a glass of cold or warm water to drink. Then she gave me the menu and let me be alone to decide what I would like to eat. The À la carte has the right price tag attached to it. So, I ordered Chicken Tikka and Ginger ale. I requested not to make it spicy as don't have good tolerance for heat. They served this wonderful dish. As I took a bite, I felt that it was genuine. They have a great chef, who cooks fresh food. I did go back several times until the day I had to head back to my home. I really liked every single meal and the snacks that I tried. I was served with mouth watering delicacies and I savoured every bit of it with joy and gladness in my heart. The entire place is really clean. I do recommend this place.
