Rented one of the biggest chalets this summer.+ The good:* The chalet was clean an fairly well equipped.* The domaine is quite beautiful and the swimming pool is nice.- The bad:* The chalet doesn’t really sleep as many people as listed unless many of the guests are kids. The sofa beds are quite small and are supposed to sleep two people each? (There are four)* The common areas/living spaces are quite small for the size of the chalet. Very small kitchen, living room and no dining room at all.* Several chalets had noisy gatherings and we were the ones receiving a complaint about going to bed at 11pm because our talking was bothering other people (?)Will not come back as I don’t feel the steep price is justified.

Extremely unprofessional owner. We booked our chalet 6 weeks prior to our stay, deposit was paid. 3 days before we arrive we're being told the owner rented the place to another group that have more people. He kept telling me different stories so that's hard to know what's true. So he tells me he's going to let us stay in a much bigger chalet that is not finished. GREAT. I highlight the fact that we wanted that specific chalet as we wanted to share communal space with my friends. So instead of the bigger one I asked to stay in a chalet that was finished. It is smaller, everybody was meant to sleep in a bed so now some people are sleeping on couches... So we get there, a woman was waiting for us in front of the door we thought that was nice, someone was actually welcoming us. She dropped her bags in a room and declared that was hers. WTH, this is not summer camp, who is that person?? We had to ask her to leave, she had been told by the owner she could stay wherever she wanted, so strange! I tried to call the owner multiple times to following days, he never answered, went twice to the reception and was never there. I had to call many times to ask for compensation he would just shout at me saying my friends had a wonderful stay even if they slept on couches instead of beds. The place was nice but I definitely don't want to have to deal with that unprofessional person ever again.

I did not stay here ... due to unforeseen circumstances I needed to change my dates and the owner categorically refused blaming it on a booking .com policy .I called booking.com twice who then called the owner and it turns out he is the one refusing the date change for no valid reason. He also charged me 170$ as a cancellation fee and refused to waive it .He never responded to my emails. Extremely dishonest and unprofessional. Never again

This summer we toured the beautiful Lac and Mont Mégantic regions. For lodging, we chose a room at the Auberge des Montagnais. No photo was available at time of booking.Recently renovated in a fresh minimalist modern style, the room, located in the main building, features two double beds (one a Murphy bed), 2 open shelves over a sink and counter, white on natural wood color schemes and vibrant black and white nature wall prints. A flat screen television sits on a wall above a flat screen faux fire. Opposite, two folding moon chairs hang on wall hooks. The washroom offers an integrated full bath and shower. Two black folding chairs hang on a bathroom wall, matching an adjustable folding table tucked in the kitchenette. The latter has glass and cup ware, coffee maker, small bar fridge. An extra fee gives access to a microwave, hot plate, toaster, plates, utensils in the cupboards beneath the sink. Situated in an international dark sky reserve, you can be guaranteed a dark night. The windows overlook a forested slope. The room seemed well insulated for sound, the beds comfy with ample pillows. Cell service: spotty; wifi: OK.The room is half (if not less) the size of a standard hotel/motel room. It was a tight fit for two persons using two beds for more than one night: one foot of space between both beds, between beds and walls. No night tables, desk or reading lamps. A CPAP machine sat on the floor-with everything else. A single ceiling lamp offered a dim light. With the Murphy bed up, the folding table and chairs means camping-style meals. Get down on all fours to use the microwave (in the bottom cupboard shelf below sink), bend or squat to open the bar fridge. There is an outdoor BBQ and seating for room guests by the building office and parking lot; weather and our schedules precluded its use. There was no air conditioning, fan, or hooks for coats or jackets. A word of caution If you are sensitive to renovation odors: the lingering drywall and paint fumes, seasonal humidity and lack of room fan were sickening for nighttime sleeping. The fellow at the main desk seemed generally friendly, though we overheard him lambast another guest, which left an impression of unprofessional conduct. If you’re one person booking a short stay, don’t need the kitchenette, don’t mind your stuff on the floor, it’s a great room. Otherwise, book a suite. And stay out of the owner’s hair. He seems to have a temper.

We reserved a room with cuisinette and it's clean, new, well organized and we have almost all we need. The location is well situated because it's just 8 mins away from the National park. In the evening we can see the beautiful stars in the sky because there is barely any light pollution around. It's quiet around there and we received an email with all the information we need to access the room. I will definitely go back there next time I visit Mont Mégantic!

To start with, I have many reviews on googles and you could see that most of them are positive. In fact this is going to be my very first negative. We rented a suite" to accomodate me and my two kids after an astronomy activity at the nearby observatory. We arrived at the suite around 11pm and got into our room in the middle of pouring rain.No cell Signal
