What an incredibly immersive and fun bar! Down to the front display and the waiting area, everything is gorgeous. The staff were all so kind- one even came up to us to let us know that there were purse hooks under the bar so our purses wouldn't get wet with condensation. We had the creme brulle and it was divine! Thank you for a great night!

Big fan of barchef and I’ve been looking forward to trying this place and it did not disappoint. Awesome atmosphere. Awesome drinks. Awesome drink making! Got to sit at the bar and see the masters at work! There’s a bunch more drinks on that menu that I want to try so I’ll definitely be back! Pro tip -> get a lobster roll

This bar has a great atmosphere. Everything from the music to the glassware all the way down to the soap in the washrooms you can tell was well thought out. Our server Lexie was top-notch she had a great knowledge of the menu and was able to recommend the perfect pairings for our cocktails and food!Definitely will be coming back!

BarChef’s new hip spot!!! Very different concept, the whole atmosphere brings you back in time to the basics. We went on the opening night and everything was great. We had 4 cocktails and they all tasted delicious. Frankie was here and he greeted most of the guests here. Well done!

Very cool venue for a special occasion. Love the theme (Speakeasy) and secret door at the entrance. Reservations are recommended. We went on a Tuesday night and it wasn't too busy (good because it wasn't too loud). Food was fantastic and served in small portions for sharing. All was good but the lobster rolls and shrimp cocktail were highlights.Service was outstanding and everyone knew the menu. Cocktails were the main deal and were arranged in order of scents." They were fantastic.Dress is business casual. Washrooms were clean and well stocked with fancy soaps

Kudos to the speakeasy concept and tremendous details, yet this place needs some adjustments.Not sure if its the location or the vibe, but something is not quite right yet.It was a bit off to see super modern furniture next to all other vintage decoration. Same goes to lighting, mixture of warm and cold tone is not a complimentary combination.Music was super loud, and notably hip hop is not a fit!BarChef is still my top choice, and I will keep an eye for the character of this place to set in.

What an ambience! Rich, sophisticated and fun! This bar has great vibes, everyone is super friendly, and the bartenders are out of this world amazing and so passionate about what they do. Nothing like this in downtown TO! I will definitely be going back but you have to make reservations, this place is busy! A good sign of course :)

Very well constructed and complex drinks. Amazing cutlery and decor gives you a nice speakeasy vibe.Staff were friendly and Bella’s recommendations were spot on.Receipt was given to us in a wax sealed envelope - my best experience of receiving it so far - nice finishing touch to the entire experience.

This is one of the best cocktail bars I've ever been to.The entrance is so perfectly aligned with the apothecary theme. The seating area is charming and warm behind a wooden door giving it a speakeasy kind of vibe. The servers are knowledgeable and friendly.We tried four different cocktails and loved every one. Perfect blend of flavours, earthy tones and bitters from scratch.We'll definitely be coming back!!

If you're looking for a trip back in time, Prequel is the perfect place to go. With its expertly curated decor and attention to detail, this bar takes you on a journey back to where cocktails began. The cocktails themselves are out of this world, with each one handcrafted using spices that are crushed with a mortar and pestle.One of the standout features of Prequel is its exceptional service. The attentive team is always on hand to ensure that you have the best possible experience. Chris, the bartender, is particularly impressive, with an unwavering commitment to detail that shines through in each cocktail he creates.If you're not sure where to start, I highly recommend trying the Champagne and Absinthe cocktail. It's an incredible combination of flavors, with real champagne lending a touch of elegance to the mix. And with so many other intriguing cocktails on the menu, I can't wait to return and try them all
