I am a member of the Community Futures Self Employment program. Every day I feel fortunate to be part of this amazing program as it has enabled me to start my new business with an incredible amount of support and knowledge and continued training. I truly believe that without this program I would not have been successful in my endeavours. The staff go above and beyond helping us all with our businesses. I wholeheartedly recommend this program to anyone wanting to start a business and I tell everyone I meet about my experiences. The value I have received from this program is beyond measure and I was not required to pay them anything for their services. Thank you so much to the fantastic staff at Community Futures - Abbotsford.

Having recently completed the Self Employment program, I recommend Community Futures services without hesitation. They provide a complete range of support for the entrepreneur who is establishing their business, including business planning, branding, marketing, social media, and finances. The best part is the price - free if you apply through Work BC.

Make sure you ask questions BEFORE you begin this program. Ask as many questions as you wish DURING the program. Do not SPEND any of your money if you feel pushed to do so. Make a REALISTIC proposal for your business idea. Get a SECOND OPINION as to the VIABILITY of your business idea. Do not VOLUNTEER any information to this program's facilitators that you do not feel is warranted. Do not allow yourself to get pushed into PURCHASING any services/products while you are in this program. And, finally, choose a different program, not this one.

The training and coaching I received at Community Futures has made a significant impact to my business. The workshops were a focused time to think through all the fundamental aspects of starting a business - from goal setting, bookkeeping to customer service. The coaching I have received throughout the program has really helped me to keep focused. I am extremely grateful for the help I have received from the team at Community Futures!

My experience at Community Futures in Chilliwack was a complete night mare . Teresa was the most unprofessional person I have met in a business as of yet ... Not impressed .. I went into my appointments and got the total run around and then No one seemed to understand what exactly I was doing with my business . I went in with a professional business plan , name of business as well as my logo .. It was one of my most discouraging meetings I have had yet in my life ... I actually was thinking of making a formal complaint to the board of directors with the way I was treated and disrespected . :-( I've had nothing but excellent input from businesses around the country ... it was a joke .
