My son comes for the occasional cut/fade and every time it’s done really well and my son always leaves happy.I wanted to get him and his cousin in for a cut asap (wanted my nephew to have his first barber experience, he’s only ever gone to chatters lol) but there were no availabilities for about a week so we tried a different barber and sadly both the boys weren’t happy with what they got; so we will definitely never make that mistake again and will wait the week to get them booked in with Merchant.

Haircuts, vibe and conversations are top notch every time. When stepping into the Merchant Barber it's like taking a time machine back 100 years in jolly ole England. Lulu lazy wear didn't exist and real men dressed classy in 3 piece suits.Well done Chris, Nelson is lucky to have you!

First time visiting this shop. The owner Chris cut my hair, did a super solid job. “Chair side manner” was excellent, super warm friendly and knowledgeable and the shop itself is lovely. Great price, I was going from very long hair to crop short and he still only charged 30 (my previous shop is 45 for a simple trim)!! Had some great products in store I considered but I didn’t feel pressured for purchase. Overall great experience enough to write a review about. Would recommend and will definitely return.

The Merchant Barber is an excellent addition to our community, offering a true gentleman experience. Bringing back a tradition of quality craftsmanship in relation to grooming that had almost been lost. I sent my teen son to get his hair cut and Christopher was awesome with him and made him look like a true little gent. Highly recommend.

Chris is a wonderful barber who has create an old school barber feel and is incredibly kind. At merchant barber they go above and beyond with their service for an expectional price. I highly recommend!
