BMO Bank of Montreal

Laurie is very helpful! Although I generally hate banks and moreover specific branches, this branch has been one of the best, and so has the bank been.

I banked atBank of Montreal for about 25 years. I closed my account many years ago due to no longer being a resident of Canada. I come back to Saskatoon to visit family and never before had I encountered rude customer service. I arrived today to exchange some foreign money for Canadian money. There was a line , with 2 tellers and a gentleman opening an account for a elderly couple. Oneofthe tellers was communicating in a foreign language to a customer, and another teller taking care of customers. There were a total of 3 people ahead of me. It took 20 min to get to a teller. Once I got to the teller, I received a “hello” I identified my needs, pulled out my cash, handed it to the lady. She said “ok put your card into the reader” I stated “I’m not from here “ her rspnse “I can’t take care of you because you don’t have an account” . This was extremely dissatisfying. The customer service was lacking. So ok I don’t have an account , but y’all could have made the experience a little more pleasant. Why couldn’t I have heard something like “ “Hello, Thank you for your patience, how may I help you?” “Do you have an existing account?” Nope. The response I recieved was purely from an individual who may not take pride inher job, who probably had a long day and didn’t really care. She was far from being helpful. It just says”big banking business with minimal interest of how to take care of customers.” Money drive only. Yes it’s abusiness but that’s why I came here 2 years ago. They had gladly exchanged my money then it “the policy has changed” Personally I would rather put money in the community , where my family lives in, as opposed to the airports with money exchange availability. So sorry Bank of Montreal. I will never do business here again.

Ser an appointment for a line of credit and specifically asked to be told what to ring. Was not told to bring any ID. When I get there it takes 10 minutes of him being outside the room before I'm told they can't do my application.

Employees are very friendly. The branch manager is also very knowledgeable and helpful.

They do not answer their phone to talk to customers. Been waiting 2 weeks to get a new bank card. This is ridiculous. Used to walk out with a new card in 10-15 minutes.

Amazing service! I had a banking issue that I have been trying to solve on my own for months and had it resolved almost instantly after going to BMO for help.Lori was so incredibly helpful and have never had better customer service!!

Had banked here for years! Great service everytime! Just wish there was a BMO in my current town.

I have been setting up my daughter's Is R DSP yearly contribution for 11 years. I have never had too much problem doing so until until today . A computer voice told me that my waittime would be between 2 and 3 hours and there was no callback function Offered. So far I've been carrying around my phone listening to elevator music for one and a 1/2 hours. This is unacceptable and totally unnecessary. Within the next month I will be closing all of my accounts at the bank of Montreal and moving them to Financial institution who Who have been very helpful for the last 20 years looking after our other family interests.

Is there any chance that I rate zero for this branch? The head office in this branch is really ridiculous. They enrolled me into the smile offer and refused to admit it. Watch for the trap if you are going to have business here.
