Viti Wine and Lager (Hastings)

Went to get some colt 45 recently and when I asked for a paper they charged me 35 cents which is pretty whack to begin with but the sus part was when the employee at the counter placed my money in the tip jar which seemed like a huge red flag highly recommended going elsewhere

Was reading some reviews when I noticed a review by someone named Jacob who claimed some reviews are false, instigated by a former employee who will be “dealt with” Honestly don’t know what that situation is about, but shows the type of people running this joint. And yes. It is significantly more expensive than any liquor store I’ve been to. Actually went in once, sticker price on a bottle of wine which was already ridiculously marked up rang through for a few dollars more than the posted price. When I pointed this out to the cashier they seemed annoyed, as though it were my fault. Avoid. Worst neighborhood liquor store I’ve ever been to.

Honestly, the markup seems pretty high if I am being honest. Other reviewers have commented on this, but everything is considerably more expensive than any other cold beer and wine store that I have been to in East Vancouver.I would also like to add that opening at 9 AM but closing at 10 PM is strange for a cold beer and wine store on a weekday. It would make far more sense to be open at 10 AM and close at 11 PM. They used to be open until 11 PM.Unfortunately this is the only cold beer and wine store within 15-20 minute walking distance.Also I'm feeling more inclined to give 1 star simply because the owners are leaving 5 star reviews on their page and attributing all the bad reviews to a former employee and his friends". Great cop out geniuses."

Pretty decent selection and friendly staff. Came in with my girlfriend who was looking for a specific brand. They didn’t have it but Michelle was really helpful and gave out good suggestions as alternatives.

Always a nice place to go during my alcohol shopping. Staff is chill and relax, pleasant and knowledgeable

can't stress how important a customer service is is! attitude goes a long way but the girl who was there today Sunday December 12th morning obviously hates her job and when I asked if they were out of a certain drink she said we're out" but in a very rude way

Little over priced, close at 10 but do stay open to the last minute.

Brought my dog here once one of the staff members were aggressively touching him and giving him “treats” without my permission and when I was not looking which I found generally creepy. The liquor is also more expensive compared to bc liquor
