Underhill Dental

A filling came out after 10 months. When i came back to have it checked, I was informed I would have to pay to have the filling replaced as my dentist is on medical leave and a different dentist would have to do the work or I could wait for my dentist to return (with no expected date given to me). My dentist has been on leave for over 4 months. I had been a customer of Underhill Dental for over 30 years.There are so many issues with how I was treated:- I was informed of that fact after coming to my appointment and made to wait in the waiting room and in the chair for over 20 minutes. I can't imagine how difficult it would have been to inform me when I came in or when I scheduled the appointment.- This is a business. There are no reviews for individual dentists. If the dentists of the practice do not cover for each other, one can only imagine what will happen if you have a serious problem and your dentist is away on vacation or on leave.This is not the only issue my family and I have encountered with Underhill Dental since Dr Lubin retired. We will now be looking for a new dental practice.

I changed dentists from one that really didn’t understand customer service very well, so yesterday was my first time at Underhill. The experience was great and the precautions they took because of Covid were outstanding-you feel completely safe. With no polishing, I suspect there was more scraping done. My teeth felt great and I also had fluoride applied. The front office staff were wonderful. They really care about you and take your time- no rushing you through- you feel cared for! Great office, great service! I highly recommend this dental office. D.Kerr

I rarely leave reviews, especially when prompted, but I’ve been a patient at Underhill Dental for almost 40 years and I feel that they deserve my recognition.Dr. Lubin was the only dentist I have ever known (a friendly, familiar, Groucho Marx-esque type who always made me feel comfortable and remembered), I hope he is enjoying a well-deserved retirement. While I’ve only met her briefly, Dr. Nina seems very competent and capable. I look forward to our upcoming thorough inspection get to know you type appointment.The administrative staff have always been wonderful. Warm, understanding and accommodating (especially during the years when I didn’t have insurance). I appreciate that and you. Thank you.The only very minor negative about the experience, I was less than impressed with the Covid PPE surcharge. I completely understand it, it was probably mentioned to me in advance, and it was not at all unreasonable at $5, but I felt caught off guard by it. It really wasn’t a big deal, but it would’ve been disingenuous not to at least mention it (along with hand sanitizer and plexiglass, they provide overshoe booties which were, at least, novel).Finally and importantly, the procedure itself was different: no polishing and no “water pick” cleaning. Just the old fashion scrapers. I thought it was going to be absolutely awful (as I had missed an appointment and there was a year of plaque buildup), but the hygienist was fantastic. Careful, thorough, efficient and friendly - thank you, Mariah.I felt safe the entire time and there was a sense of normalcy in going back to the dentist. I would recommend Underhill Dental to anyone who is concerned about visiting during the pandemic as there was an established procedure and sanitization seemed to be taken seriously.I would also recommend Underhill Dental, in general, to anyone who is a little overdue for a visit.Floss.

I've been going to Underhill Dental for over 5 years now, I have never once had a bad experience. The staff here is always so friendly and welcoming! Dr.Nosrati is also absolutely amazing. She's always very kind and professional. I've never once felt uncomfortable while getting any work done by her and I appreciate that she will take an extra few minutes checking for any other issue aside from the one I've come in for.Overall one of the best dental offices I've ever been to!

I have been a patient for 15 years now. I love the entire team! They are always kind, efficient. I love Dr PK, my dentist, Cheryl, my Hygenist, is wonderful! Pain-free cleaning. From the lovely team at the front desk, top notch dental care by all concerned!

I came here for a cleaning cause I’m new to the area. The dental hygienist was quite insensitive when discussing my medical history, and after asking for a topical gel before cleaning she proceeded to start scaling without any topical! After a “quick” and not so thorough cleaning I was ushered out the door. I figured the dentist would want to meet a new patient and say hello but I guess not. My insurance was overcharged for a 20 minute cleaning too. I doubt I would ever return here again, my trust has been broken. An insensitive dental practice that isn’t thorough on the first visit doesn’t leave me confident this is the right dental clinic for me. I’ll be looking for something better in the area. Good luck if you come here.UPDATE: After contacting this dental clinic the Dentist in charge couldn’t be bothered to contact me to find out more information on my experience. I guess the dental practice simply doesn’t care about their staff’s poor performance or can’t be bothered to apologize. The College of Dental Surgeons and the College of Hygienist’s will need to be involved. Beware coming here - I’m sorely disappointed I have to contact higher authorities to get a little accountability. Shame on this dental clinic, you turned a simple visit into a horrible experience.
