Incredible! Beautiful museum of masks from the Acadian tradition of Mi-Careme. Everyone is so helpful and knowledgeable. It has a gift shop and an area where kids can make their own mask. This is definitely recommended if your in the area.

Made a random stop on a roadtrip to use bathroom at the centre, but decided to take a look into the gallery and it was an incredibly interesting experience. Learned about history that I didn't know going in, and the staff was incredibly kind, helpful and knowledgeable. Will be making future visits for sure.

Such a fabulous and unique story of Acadian culture. I didn't know this holiday existed. So glad we stopped. Absolutely fascinating!

This is an amazing place in a spectacular waterfront location. It's a great place to experience and learn about Acadian culture. In the summer, some events are held outdoors, often with music and a bonfire. This place is a must visit" when you're on the Acadian coast of Cape Breton."

This cultural mecca is so full of fun, quirkiness and cultural history. This was our 2nd time there and we love it! It has amazing displays of Masks and gifts for yourself or others which are one of a kind and very unique. You can also buy plain masks to put your own creative touch to. You may even get to meet the artist!

Great interpretive characters! Wonderful exhibits and items for sale that reflect this unique mid lent custom that is much like the Courrier de Mardis Gras in Louisiana!

On a recent trip, our 3.5 year old cited Mi-Careme as his favourite thing we did in Cape Breton. Lots of fun to dress up and learn about an interesting Acadian tradition.
