Heritage Education Funds

I have been with this Heritage Education funds probably since 2007. Very poor communication system. Very hard to deal with. All their communication system is in form of no-reply system. Try calling them?Zero help. How long do you think you can continue this way and succeed?NO star!

By far the worst of my investments. It would have been much better to invest in GIC or in stock. Besides, when your child starts education It is very difficult to get to the money and it is far less than promised. The plan will actually cost you money that Heritage uses for fees and commission. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM!

Absolute Garbage. Don't be fooled. This is easily the worst financial decision our family has EVER made. There communication is awful. They change the rules as they go and will eat through any gains with their fees. Stay as far away as you can from HERITAGE EDUCATION SAVINGS, KNOWLEDGE FIRST FINANCIAL OR THE SOON TO BE EMBARK or whatever other name they will change to when when consumer catch on again.

This was the absolute worst investment I ever made. I met with 4 financial advisors trying to find ways to get out of it. The sales rep blatantly lied as they misrepresented the flexibility of the funds. The fees were over $5000 for one of my sons alone and I could not get out without incurring significant penalties. I was assured that I would receive all of the fees back when we withdrew from the RESPs which was not true. You are forced to predict the number of years your child will attend post-secondary school and you receive a greater percentage the longer you predict they are in school. If they do not attend the years you predict then you lose all of the investment for the balance of years they did not attend. These RESP funds need better regulations to prevent more families from falling prey. If I knew then what I know now I would have run from this as fast as possible. If there was a rating less than one I would give it because one is far too generous!

This is the worst absolute worst R eis it's R ESP organization there is 1st of all the power sell you and and it would appear as though the people who were selling get very high commission II invested in this for my son 18 years ago and the prospectus that they showed they Showed is nowhere close to what they deliveredshowed me was no way close at this time I'm trying to get the money out It's extremely difficult I'm frustrating for your own money Please think twice before you use this option I can tell you with my other kids my new life I've done for the other kids as well and thank God I did you just have to say the word and your money is ready

Worst idea I've done to deal with this company. Hard to deal with they don't update anything with you nor they don't even send you that the company is making changes. I just pulled out to transfer to a bank instead. Then they start to call me to ask why and what's my issues are. Far too late for that.

Today I spent y half day to reach them they answered my phone twice but hung me on middle of conversation I called them again and again every time I hold for 45 minutes. My daughter as second year in university we are begging to get our money back that we give them in last 18 year and still we can’t get our money back I use my line of credit to pay her uni fee. Every time they have new excuse some time they saying we will deposit in to your account after 2 weak then we call back after 2 weak they said something else and hung me in middle of conversation.I paid 18 years to get benefit but today I am very disappointed not even sure I will get my money back.If someone has any solutions where I can complain for this please let me know.I feel my self just like robbed and helpless

Update: We have finally received our outstanding RESP funds. Certainly wished it had been a more transparent and more straightforward process!......They make it impossible to get the money back.My daughter graduated after 4 years with Honours from University and we submitted her University diploma and are getting the run around. Every time something is submitted they ask for something else. Delayafter delays. Now they are asking for proof that the post-secondary institution is recognized by the Ministry of Education.That's laughable, as the University has been established since 1954, a fact that should be easily looked up by Heritage. The list goes on.AVOID and invest money with your local bank. They have customer support you can actually meet in person and resolve any issues.

Do not invest in any RESP Trust, their business model is Pyramid style agent structure and does not favour students. Instead open RESP trading account and invest your own. Refer You Tube for low risk long term stocks in service sector.

Stay away from this company. It will charge you 10 percent regardless and its investment is like a joke. The worst financial decision I ever had. I wish I can rate it minus.
