Ramada by Wyndham Campbell River

A great view of the water and the shore across the highway. Rooms are really nice, and the suites are great when there for a week or more. I keep forgetting to brink trunks for the hot tub & pool.Also the breakfast is great, eggs and sausage make for a welcome change

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. This hotel is absolutely terrible. The room was filthy. Hotel is dated and nothing has been done to maintain it. We found an open can of beer in the fridge. Huge stains on the furniture. Floors looked like they've never been vacuumed. There is no AC and it was 35 degree weather. Since there was no AC, we had to keep our patio door open but all we got was copious amounts of cigarette smoke wafting from other balconies all night. The price is robbery in my opinion for what you get. We originally had 2 nights booked, cancelled our 2nd night and stayed at a much nicer hotel for the same price. Will never stay here again or recommend this place to anyone.

I have been staying at the Ramada off and on for a couple of years now and never had a problem with reservations. Today I made a reservation and lo and behold there is a new policy no refunds at all on a reservation if you cancel. Imagine my surprise when I realized that and then found out I couldn't make the trip. Never again will I make a reservation at the Ramada I don't care how nice or how convenient they are if they will not refund my money when I have to cancel it is not worth it. And not able to call the hotel directly to talk about it? I had to go through reservation companies in the states so this has been have a very good eye opener to anyone- read your policies before you do anything. The company that I booked through offered me a 20% discount on the money that they were going to keep that was the only concession they would make.

The loft rooms are quite cozy but they are pretty outdated, it’s easy to get past though. Our sliding door didn’t latch fully so the room kept getting cold. The couches were terribly uncomfortable and felt like someone had been sitting on it everyday all day for the last 25+ years. View is awesome though and this place has lots of potential if they put a little more love into the building and apperance

Dirty rooms, stained carpets, broken AC replaced with the worlds dirtiest fan.Not the hotels fault but inebriated transients all over.Avoid at all costs.Go to Painter’s Lodge.

This is an older motel so we didn't expect a lot, however we did expect clean and this place is dirty! When we entered our room we found wet towels used by the previous guests hanging on the bathroom door hook. The top of the microwave was covered in a greasy film, as were the tops of the kitchenette drawers and cupboards. There was a thick layer of dust on the bed headboards. There was blood on one of the pillow cases (which I didn't discover until our final night - gag!!). The window sheers and curtains were torn and filthy. The floor was dirty. The shower curtain had that 'dog towel' smell. I spent the first hour and half a roll of paper towel cleaning before we felt somewhat comfortable in the very tiny room. I had to request moisturizer from the front desk, which is a standard amenity at other venues. The location is fabulous; across the street from the ocean. The 'continental breakfast' is fine. The staff are friendly. This feels like a venue waiting for the right developer to come along and make them an offer.

I have a very low rating because of the balcony situation. I stayed in room 222. 221 has a balcony that overlaps and extends in to the view of the patio door. There's pieces of the privacy screen missing, so you have you neighbors outside staring into your room. The deck oveaps about 3ft into the one I had. There's no AC, so the door has to be open.. so I got to breathe in all their cigarette smoke. Plus with the overlapping deck, my open door, also came a safety concern.... isn't this how bad things happen? I could also post that this must have been a Bavarian themed chalet at one time, or the creepy bathroom windows that go into the common hallway, but I can only tell you.. AVOID this place.

We were very happy with our room. There is a great steakhouse right next door that we also enjoyed withyout having to drive anywhere. Good value. Too bad the pool and hot tub were closed.
