The receptionist and nurse were great but Dr. Smit didn’t inspect my shoulder, even though that was one of the things my doctor wanted me to go and see him for even though this was the first visit I had with him. He just went straight in to do the injection and didn’t really seem to care about anything I was saying I definitely would not recommend him as he seams to has no bedside manners and just rushed the visit.

Dr Smit may be very knowledgeable, however the overall experience leaves alot to be desired. The office staff are difficult to get a hold of, do not return phone calls and do not return paperwork. Dr Smit was very rushed during the appointment and I felt that he did not explain options very well. Hopefully my next appointment goes better.

Walked into this guys room and felt like I was going to get my kidneys harvested. There was an old can of anesthesia, a rusty chair and some knifes in a 4 by 4 room. Got out of there as soon soon as I could. Was genuinely scared I would not let this butcher cut you open.

I visited the clinic twice for my Dad's treatment and interacted with staff at ~7-8 times for different reasons. Front desk staff has always been very helpful and they do everything to assist. They seem very organized. Dr. Smit is also very calm, objective and knowledgeable. Together, they provide exceptional service for patients. Hope they keep up with this !

A doctor who actually cares and follows up with you!! thats definitely not common to get here and is refreshing to have

This guys is messed up, the reception is okay, but he I got super strange vibes like as a young lady I felt uncomfortable and I literally thought my kidney would be harvested. Anyways I would. Not go to him in a thousand years

Highly frustrating experience with this office. Very difficult to speak with anyone on the phone- if they answer, expect to be put on hold for 15+ minutes. Repeated poor experiences with front desk staff, doctor’s note $150, cancelling pre-booked appointments (x2) for vacation. Dr. Smit is indeed knowledgeable, though not worth the frustration of administration incompetence and poor communication.

This guy is the most unprofessional surgeon I’ve ever seen saw me for 2 min and then sent me home for another 6-8 weeks in a air cast he told me to keep it on 24/7 and keep it as tight as possible and don’t weight bare at all after 7 weeks I started feeling intense pain and swelling my foot was turning dark red to purple I begged to be seen multiple times but brushed me off and now I have the most painful disease known to man CRPS i figured it out on my own and when I told him on the phone he hung up and dropped me as a patient and now I’m disabled for life and am dying and in non stop pain for the rest of my days , this horrible person should have his license taken away and he should be locked up I’ve heard so many other horror stories about this man leading to amputations and all sorts of bad practice….. run if you get referred to him honestly he Changed my life forever and is still operating!!

Can only report my recent experience with Dr.Smit: five star! An amazing doctor with a discharge program that is very well thought out and implimented. I would unconditionally recommend him and his staff to anyone.

This surgical centre is one of the finest, Dr. Arno Smit is an excellent surgeon & takes the time his patients need. His front staff are exceptional, very polite & helpful...Leah is one of the friendly & conscientious. Love this facility! Thank you for your service.
