St. Benedict Catholic Elementary School

I'm an alumni from the class of 2001. I'm not sure exactly how it is now, but the place use to be an overtly bigoted school. If you were black or had darker skin, you were treated very badly and not given the same privledges that others had. You were also unfairly disciplined and bullied (teachers participated and allowed it for certain people). The reason why I'm writing this review now is because there are still remnants of past discrimination that are displayed in the form of penants in the gym, as well as pictures of certain former staff members. It's 2022, its time to acknowledge your past history by removing the memory of certain characters, just like other institutions have been doing as of late.

Their a really small school. Tell them to go to St. Mother Teresa

It's an OK school I was a student there and the students are very nice and so are the teachers! But the school is pretty small and they din't teach well when I was there because they like to take it slowly just look at French they didn't know O Canada in French until grade 7 I think. And at my school now they teach you O Canada (in french) at grade 2

I go there and I do like the school but the bus is so wierd lol but I made good friends there

Great community and was really active when the basketball meshes were still up (2years ago). I recently proposed adding new basketball meshes and sports walls to increase the amount of physical activity that goes on at the school and principal Hamels would scorn me off school property and threaten to call the cops if I ever came back. Definitely not what I expected from a principal.I rather see kids and their families playing sports outside rather then playing video games or getting into trouble.

Do not send your kids here! One of the worst schools in Markham. Their school size is very small and the quality of education is extremely below average. Search up their standardized test scores and know for yourself.

Heard great things fr family members who have sent thier children there

Amazing school, great community nice funny and chilll teachers. You should go to this school and say hi to ye boi. No wismer YUTES around.
