Riverwood Acoustics

My speaker arrived last week and I so happy with it. I was introduced to Riverwood Acoustics at the EY Centre Christmas Craft fair, maybe 4 years ago? Couldn’t afford one then but their story and the incredible sound stayed with me, so I kept the postcard for the day I could. I love it! The sound is rich and deep and beautiful and I'm just playing tunes from my phone.

My husband and I absolutely LOVE our Riverwood Hudson speaker. Not only does it sound AMAZING but it is also a beautiful piece of art that sits proudly in our livingroom.

1. The most important thing is the sound and I'll get to that in a moment. Firstly, connecting to my MacBook pro via bluetooth was very quick and effortless.2. The packaging was excellent and I'll be able to reuse the shipping box to safely transport the speaker when I travel to a cottage or visiting with family. Off to a good start as attention to detail is initially noted.3. The wonderful wood enclosure, locally made, is first rate. Nothing in the market can compare and I love it especially with local craftsman putting it together for us consumers, an important criteria for us.4. Being somewhat of an audiophile I was immediately struck with the clear and balanced mid-range; get that right and the foundation for great sound is assured.5. It's not a boom-box! It's more of an audiophile Bluetooth speaker. The bass is limited by it's smaller drivers, but the resolution of the bass is first rate. You'd pay a lot more to get an audiophile system to sound this good, especially in the low register's where many 'loud speakers' are all about boom and fizz. The Hudson is nicely balanced.6. The highs are well extended and smooth. The tone of the speaker is on the money! Seriously well done (my ears thank you).7. It plays louder than I ever need or want to hear it play at high levels. The volume is more than adequate and the sound carries far.8. Overall I am very pleased and I have hooked it up to a Cambridge CXC CD transport mated to an RME ADI-2 DAC preamp to see how well the Riverwood Acoustics Hudson would fare via the RCA inputs and higher end sources. The sound was balanced low to highs, smooth, clear with no sibilants and detailed presentation. What more do you need?9. I want to check more of their offerings as I think the sound engineers know what they are doing. Mine's a keeper!

We have been extremely pleased with our recent purchase of a Riverwood Acoustics bluetooth speaker. The range of the sound is incredible and the beauty of the wood is remarkable. Highly recommended from Tim in NC.

I'm loving my new Riverwood Speaker. I have a Chromecast hooked up to it, and between that and the high fidelity Bluetooth, it's very convenient. It looks beautiful, great finish and unique grain. Sounds wonderful, especially at high volume. I received it in 2 days, and the packaging top notch. I'm impressed! I just need to keep my kids away from it...

These things are amazing! We have one in our Cafe and it is used 8 to 10 hours a day and still sounds amazing! Not only do they sound amazing, they look amazing and are built by local people using local wood.The owners are HUGE supporters of local people and businesses and are stand up people.I wouldn't buy anything but a Riverwood Speaker. You won't be disappointed.

Great little speaker to use with my IPad for streaming background music when I don’t wish to fire up my larger system. Nice and easy to move around. I can use it in my RV trailer. Glad to support a Canadian company using our available raw materials.

The Hudson right out of the box was impressive looking and a really nice piece of furniture that would look nice on any end table or mantle in any living room.With the Beautiful Quality wood build, cast aluminum framed drivers, two passive radiators, 50 watt Bluetooth amp, is a winner in my books.As for sound, I love the midrange that comes out of these speakers. The only way I can describe the sound is rich and full.I highly recommend auditioning this speaker as you will be delighted at just how good it sounds.RegardsMarty
