BEWARE OF UPSELL!!I would have given these guys a 4 or a 5 star if it wasn't for the upselling they try to do. I've been doing car mechanics for about 18 years now. I would say I have above average understanding and skill level when it comes to vehicles. They tried to up sell me two services which I had a good laugh about1) Brake service. Brake pads were fine but they wanted to re-lubricate the braking system to ensure both brake pads would make contact with the rotor to prevent un even wear....$75.002) Wheel alignment. Last time I checked you were removing 5 bolts and a tire and then re-installing. There is no change in the steering or suspension parts of any of the axles.It's quite sad that they do sell these services to people where they are not needed. I don't think I'll ever do business with Kal-tire again.

They are nice and tried to just lack experience mechanics. Could not do alignment on my 2000 charokee, told me to.go south to another location with more experience. No charge but they could not fix it.

I went to the Chinook store and did get 2 new summer tires and kept the winter tires at your warehouse. Th e Kal Tire associate ((Trsingh) was very efficient, knowledgeable and courteous.

Repeat customer and I've always had good service at this location. Friendly staff and fairly quick even when they're busy. The proximity to Chinook Centre is convenient to grab a bite while waiting for your tire service.

Twice now on separate occasions I’ve booked appointments with Kaltire. Once for a single tire change (1 tire) and once for a tire assessment for a tire patch.The single tire change took 4.5 hours. The advisor on the phone said it would take 45min.The second time when I came in for the tire assessment at 1pm (advised on the phone to bring it in any time before 3pm)I was advised that they’re behind and suggested I bring it back another day.Extremely poor time management. Be prepared to waste your entire day(s)

Not a stellar experience. They took my vehicle for 4 hours to complete an inspection, then returned the vehicle after 1/2 day, saying that they couldn't get the wheels off to do the inspection.If a tire shop can't remove the wheels from a vehicle, the prudent thing to do would be to advise clients before they leave their vehicle, not after waiting 4 hours for the work to be completed. Please note that their inability to remove the wheels was not due to wheel locks, as the vehicle doesn't have them.

⭐☆☆☆☆ (1 out of 5 stars)I had an incredibly frustrating experience at Kal Tire Chinook recently. Despite making an appointment in advance, I ended up waiting for over an hour without my car even being looked at. Sam, informed me that the technicians were running an hour behind schedule.To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. It is unacceptable to have such a long wait time when an appointment has been made. I had made arrangements and taken time out of my day specifically for this appointment, only to be let down.While Sam attempted to assist and address the situation, her efforts fell short. The lack of communication regarding the delay and the inability to provide an accurate timeframe for when my car would be attended to left me feeling frustrated and inconvenienced.In the end, I had no choice but to leave without my car being serviced. This entire experience has left a sour taste in my mouth and has made me question the level of professionalism and organization at Kal Tire Chinook.I hope that this review serves as constructive feedback for the management of this establishment. Improvements need to be made in terms of appointment scheduling and adhering to the agreed-upon times. Customers should not have to endure such lengthy wait times without any progress being made.Unfortunately, based on my recent experience, I cannot recommend Kal Tire Chinook. I hope they take this feedback seriously and work towards providing a more efficient and customer-oriented experience in the future.Sincerely,Max

I was told my appointment would take up to 90 minutes, and to arrive 10 minutes early. I arrived 15 minutes early, handed over my keys... and watched as my car sat in the lot for almost two hours before it was moved into the shop. I did not get my keys back until three hours after my scheduled appointment.I understand that mistakes happen, but I was sitting in the lobby the entire time and was never approached by staff to communicate an issue. I would have appreciated being told to expect a delay at some point in those three hours. I did not receive this consideration.The actual service itself was fine; staff were friendly, helpful, and the job got done. I would consider going to Kal Tire again, but I might be a little more cautious with how I schedule my day if I do.

Fail. My wife brought the car into their shop to balance the wheels. They recommended an alignment while it was there, and they did that as well. After the service the car was vibrating worse than it was before, so the car was brought back in the next day.The next day they rebalanced the tires, and surprisingly mentioned again that it needed a wheel alignment. We mentioned that one had been done the day before and they seemed surprised and unaware. After asking why the previous wheel alignment didn't work, the woman at the front desk replied that we shouldn't trust the results of that machine that they used yesterday. After asking why the tire balancing didn't work, she suggested the weights can fall off due to things not being cleaned properly or the cold.So, I'm left with: why should I trust this company? They either have faulty equipment, don't know how to use the equipment, or are purposely misleading people. I now have two wheel alignment reports showing completely different things that cannot be trusted and wheel weights that may fall off again. Not to mention that on the second day the woman at the front desk acted short with us like we were inconveniencing her the entire time.

I had a young German tourist stay at my house as a Couchsurfer last weekend May 19th - 23rd. She purchased a used Dodge Caravan and booked it in for an oil change which included a free multipoint inspection on Saturday May 20th.The inspection results showed that everything was fine. Not so. I went over the vehicle when she returned to my house. I discovered that all four tires were way off in air pressure. I checked them cold! This was one of the items on the multi-point inspection. And the multi-point inspection also claimed that they would check the filters. See the attached photo of the mice nest bed and dirty cabin air filter.It's sad that they skip items on the checklist and then think that customers are too stupid to check up on their shoddy work.Think twice before getting one of their oil changes and free multi-pointed inspections . Would you even trust them to even touch your vehicle?What a joke!
