Potato Noodle Soup of Bai 白家老湯

Very chewy noodles here. I love it, but some people I went with were not used to the extra chewy texture and found it hard to chew through and eat properly. Soups are good too.

This Chinese noodle place is eager to expand, while food quality drops significantly. If they are aiming for a cheap chain restaurant, they are on the right track, however if they want to operate the business longer they should stop the expansion and sell the real noodles instead of pre make potato noodle and machine made noodles.Here is just my 0.02

I really liked the potato noodle texture but i think the soup could been better. Chine style hamburguer taste like pulled pork sandwich without thw bbq sauce it was ok.

Potato starch noodles and other types (hand-shaved and rice vermicelli, etc) with different types of soup base. Wide variety of flavors to choose from. Family style restaurant. Chinese hamburger is a popular starter/snack.

I've eaten here every week for the last 4 years. The food is delicious and fresh. A great selection of noodles and toppings is available though the selection of sides isn't great. The hot sauce taste amazing which is a nice bonus to eating here.

noodles are always cooked perfectly. soup basr isn't too salty abd oily, perfect. price is reasonable as well for the quality. I recommend S1 and C5 when you check out their menu!

Decor was modern. Service was average. Got the black fungus appetizer... Pretty small and tasted a little bland. Entree was the beef brisket in their signature potato noodles - noodles were much too chewy. Not sure if they're supposed to be clear or not - some were, some weren't? Nevertheless, much too chewy. Gave fairly decent pieces of beef brisket (not a lot of fat). Broth was a little on the salty side too. Wouldn't come back.

Literally my favourite restaurant in Ontario. I was somewhat a regular at the Pacific Mall location but its closed right now, luckily we found out about this location. I love the staff and you can never, ever go wrong with the cold sesame noodles (c4 or c6!!) and tofu side dish. We live like a 45min drive away, worth it for this! Looking forward to more visits in the future.

Me and my mom ordered the same dishes. My mom got one which had very little portion and less fish balls and without eggs. I asked the waitress for a change. The waiter says she can only add an egg. I ask other waitress who looks like a manager for a change. She took both my mom and my dishes back to kitchen. After their loud discussion in the kitchen, the chef came out with full gear( hair net and apron) yelled at me saying there volume was right and challenged me to weigh them. I got so angry and don't want to eat so I decided to take the bill and go but they charged me for all three dishes which they took away so I asked for them to be packed to go. When I opened the packed dishes I compared them in front of the second waitress and asked them to issue a refund.
