I had contacted Walter in September to inquire about removing some walls in my house that's under construction. I had no knowledge of renovations and Walter was kind enough to take the time to advise me on the workings of roof trusses, even though I never formally hired this company.Thanks for the assistance! Walter was great to work with. He was very thorough in the evaluation he did for us and was great at considering all options. He described very well what he was thinking and made very clear the things he knew for sure in our structural evaluation and what he suspected where it was difficult to see. The honesty was very much appreciated. He was also very mindful of the cost that we were incurring and worked to keep it as low as possible which was also much appreciated.I would highly recommend him to others and would work with him again if the need arose.

We are doing a full renovation of a 1920’s home, including opening up the doorway of a load bearing wall on the main floor, and also removing a non-load bearing wall on the main floor. After finding a number of engineers online, we contacted Walter based on the number of positive reviews.We were not disappointed! Walter has been great to work with every step of the way. From initial emails, to our site inspection, to his letter/design of our new beam, Walter has been professional, detailed, and always prompt to reply to any of our questions.Not only did Walter design the beam on our main floor and help us determine if the other wall on the main floor was truly non-load bearing, but he also calculated and designed a floor system for our attic (which the city required for our permit approval), as well as provided us with additional structural advice on other parts of the house.I highly recommend W Works Inc., and will we definitely use them again for any future projects.
