We're from out of town and caught the Drag Show on Saturday night. So much fun! Chlora Form (sp??) & Kylie Elizabeth (??I was drunk??) absolutely slapped. The space is super cute and the service was great- highly recommend! Bring tips!

Give stars for the drag performers, and for the food, 4 stars for the server who ordered the entire wrong thing because she overheard us talking about the menu and didn’t confirm. Beautifully decorated bar with attention to detail, very beautiful surroundings. Cute place to go for a fun time. The entertainment was top notch and the Sunday drag brunch is what we went for- good time all around even with covid restrictions the drag queens interacted with every table and it rained and no one cared! Great job FOD!! Great job Kaska and great job Jenna!!! Okay food- could have been served to temperature was a bit cold on presentation, but over all a good fun time- highly recommended for the area!!!

This place is super fun. Highly recommend. Performances are definitely good. But food and drinks are great as well. Do try the kung Pao tofu which was just too good. For drinks do try the Glinda (vodka based)

Drag brunch was fabulous as was our main host, Ella Lamoureux. Hilarious great numbers, and some great gay history. A great deal, you will be entertained the entire time you are there. Huge recommend.

What A Hoot !!!My daughter & Daughter in Law surprised me with a Drag Brunch at Friends of Dorothy this weekend.Drinks and lunch were served and simply amazing! Service excellent and such a friendly atmosphere.The show performed by “Ella Lamoureux” and “ Scarlett BoBo” was hilarious, right from the start to the very end. We howled with laughter, the Queens are first class performers and definitely will go again, highly recommended.Mother / Clare

Unfortunately this was not a great experience at all. It took 30 minutes just to get a glass of water. The show was completely over before we received any food which we had ordered more than an hour before. We ordered drinks that never came and when we asked just for the bill they were on it however they claimed the order never got to the bar. The server asked us if he could get us anything else at one point when we hadn’t received any food or drinks. It was all very disappointing.

What a wonderful place. The food took a long time but the show was so much fun that we did not care that we had to wait so long. They are usually booked up so make a reservation at least a week in advance. Friday staff, great food, great show great atmosphere this place has it all

Sunday drag brunch was a great time. Good service and all the food was excellent.

I feel bad writing this review, but we were booked for a table last Saturday for my birthday dinner at FOD. I indicated in the reservation that it was my birthday, and, really, my partner and I were waiting for the dinner for a while now because I've had a great experience with FOD at least two weeks ago for a friend's birthday bash. I had their dan dan noodles and I really liked it, and was excited for my partner to try it out as well. We were REALLY hungry because I was coming off from a flight from the Mainland. Before that, I made sure to confirm my reservations and double checked the fine print. Said nothing about food, etc. Just about drag brunch--which we couldn't make the show that night anyway because I was tired from my flight.We sat down, was given water, and we asked for menus. The waiter looked at us funny, said sure, and left. It took him around 5 minutes to come back to us, ask us if we wanted anything to drink, but we don't drink, so we asked for menus. Then quite awkwardly he tells us that they're only serving charcuterie boards that night. I was shocked because: first, he could have told us from the get-go that they had no food, or, second, the reservations could have told us that there were no food on a Saturday night before the drag show. Obviously, I would not be satiated by a charcuterie board since I have not had a bite to eat since 11 am that day, so we left the place. I was wondering why it took them a bit to just tell us there's no food (especially when we asked for menus), or why they couldn't have called us through my details in the reservations that they don't have food that night... especially since I mentioned it's a birthday dinner? Very disappointing and I'm sad, because I really want to support a queer place in Kelowna--something this city needs. I hope they improve their services soon and those dan dan noodles were REALLY good, but I guess I will never have them again because there's no way I'm coming back here ever. Just like the other person who reviewed said, I was rooting for you!""

Going to Friends of Dorothy is more like an event than just a mere brunch. Our drag queen hosts/hostesses were warm, sarcastic, funny, welcoming and engaging. They were definitely the stars of the hour(s). Our waiter was polite and very nice. Also loved the decor and appreciate the pillows on the chairs.The food was okay but salt and pepper on the table would have been welcome. We were the last people served and it was a very, very long wait. I have to admit I was getting kind of hangry. We also kept wondering where our coffees were and finally near the end, I inquired. Apparently, there was no coffee available. It would have been nice to have been informed of this without having to ask. They offered to have the manager come by (thank you) and he offered the table a round of mimosas in place of the coffees. Again, thank you...very appreciated. Absolutely loved the vibe and the welcoming atmosphere.Everyone needs a space where they can be themselves and Dorthys is good at that.
