The wings here on Monday are fantastic! However, unfortunately some of the food was undercooked and when brought up they took it back and said it was fine. They then said that they couldn't do anything and we could take our food back (as it had been half eaten). We then asked for it back and they said that they threw it away already??? I didn't give a tip and was asked why by the manager??? Pretty sad that tips are seen as a mandatory thing which they shouldn't be.

Nice clean simple meeting house. Tables & cubicles well spaced. Good staff. Good burgers & pasta & beer selection. Only downside is pretty rubbish chips. I hope it was just a bad night...but I fear not.

Had the Guinness draft and fish'n'chips special - both were great! Nice to have a decent pub within walking distance! Will be back!

I recently visited the taxpayer for the first time, after a night out on St Patrick's day. Our server was extremely friendly and nice. The kitchen was closed, nbd! We went to Milano's next door and ordered some food however we were told we could not bring it into the taxpayer, again nbd. We ate our pizza inside Milano's and headed over afterwards. As I was discarding the box into the trash there were a group of men drinking outside. The manager (maybe owner) came out and spoke to these individuals explaining they could not drink. I proceeded to walk inside as the rest of that group discarded their cans and walked in as well. These guys all walked in and sat down without anyone saying anything to them. However, immediately as I walked in both the manager and bartender came up to me (only me) and began going on about how they thought they saw me drinking outside. I simply explained it wasn't me and the manger even saw that I wasn't drinking outside I also mentioned they should feel free to check their cameras. He summoned me over while waving his finger at me as though I was a dog. It just really upset me, I was the only POC outside and was not doing anything wrong. However, upon entering both these gentleman were berating me as though I was breaking the rules. Nothing was said to any of the other individuals.

Been here several times before and have always been happy with the service; however, this time I ordered the regular poutine appetizer with pulled pork. Fries were undercooked - crunchy and starchy. Upon informing the waitress, she looked confused and then said okay she would deal with it. She comes back to inform me that they were cooked the same as always and were fine. They couldn't do anything. Trying not to be a problem, I said okay I'll take the food back. Later manager comes out to inform me that they threw it out. I also found out they charged me for the large when I clearly indicated I wanted the small. The manager finally replaced the food they threw out and undercooked. The Manager still had the nerve to ask why we didn't tip?!?!?

If you've been to Johnny Canucks, you'll instantly recognize the interior as they did not appear to make any updates to the interior. The food was good, but I found the portions disappointing for the price (especially the chips and dip - lots of dip, not nearly enough chips). Note - their BBQ wing sauce is Carolina style. Can be surprising if you are expecting a sweet tomato based BBQ sauce. Service was great, server was friendly and helpful. Since they are newly opened, will likely return to see if anything changes.

Great local pub. Good food and service. Reliable quality and really fun Tuesday Trivia. Make sure to book. Excellent fish and chips special on Fridays.

Service by Anna was great. She was frequently at our table to see if we wanted anything else and she was very pleasant. Fish was burnt and fries were cold. Not impressed this time The fish and chips were generally always good here in the past. My daughter got a bone in her fish, which happens, but since the quality was so poor, it just made our experience feel worse.
