We cannot say enough good things about this place. We arrived and got lucky enough to have the table under the skylight, which was magical. The service was impeccably awesome from Bill and Jane! We had an absolute blast enjoying the wide and eclectic beer selection paired with food that was entirely too good to be true. We ordered the Knödel, pickled gizzards, chicken wings, the Welsh Rarebit, and some charcuterie. It was all fantastic, but our favourites were the Rarebit and the Knödel for sure.The eccentric design of the lamps and art make for a fun viewing experience and add to the comfortable atmosphere. There wasn't a single TV to be found (which is great for those who don't care about watching sports), and the menu was a treat (hilarious pictures, horoscopes, D&D references, and a crossword puzzle).Our little group has decided this is a place we must visit regularly.

Staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, and very customer aware that it's sweet. My friend was scratching at the plate, thinking that it was dirty (it's just the style), and the staff brought a clean plate by just in case. The menu layout was quirky and cute and there were some interesting, tempting dishes. I liked how they offered drink pairings for the dishes.I quite enjoyed the soft pretzels (not usually a pretzel fan), paired well with the beer cheese and mustard. I ordered the chicken pate on toast. It was a good kind of interesting - more on the weird food, comfort food side. I actually would order it again.I enjoyed the window seat with a glass of Jameson Irish Whiskey, so I was super content (especially with the rainfall white noise outside). The place wasn't overly loud, so conversations can still be enjoyed without losing your voice.Seating is nicely spaced so people don't bump back of chairs together. Decor is quirky and fun. This may be our new comfort spot.

What a gem! Delightfully homey feeling, but with stunning food & beer. The staff was amazing and gave great recommendations, both beer & food. Loved the zine menu!It made me sad that we were only in town for 22 hours. I wish we were here longer so we could have tried the whole menu.

This is a really cool bar that offers an extensive list of craft beers and awesome food pairings - I especially liked the pink guava pils, it has a nice, fresh and fruity flavour to it without having to be a sour. I found the picked egg with curry super tasty and really enjoyed the taleggio cheese with their delicious honey and mango spread. The owner, Bill, is super nice and accommodating, he really went out of his way to suggest beers that he thought we would like :)

Overall a really nice experience. The bottle menu will have a certain appeal to beer nerds, but may be lost on a lot of people, lots of premium bottles and awesome selection but comes at a higher cost. The tap beers were a nice offering, the Annex sour they are featuring is excellent.The food was pretty good, definitely inspired and thoughtful. The portions were pretty typical bar snack sizes, good for small plates or tapas style. Everything was good, but nothing was really exemplary. The wings were tasty but maybe overly wet/moist (not too much of a knock, I just prefer crispier wings). The dessert I had was excellent.If you need a chill space to try some new beers and we’ll prepared food, this fits the bill. I appreciated the vibe of this place for a catch up with a friend.

It's a bit delayed but my husband and I went here last weekend as a last minute date night - Saw the great reviews and thought we would try it out. They have great share plates, meals were tasty and a great beer list. The staff were incredibly friendly and the vibes inside were lovely. Thank for a great date night experience! - oh! I will say there aren't tons of vegetarian options, maybe 2 or 3 but its german-ish inspired so lots of meat options, maybe not a great place if you are a vegetarian or vegan.

Excellent food and amazing service. It was our first time eating here and we were overwhelmed by the menu at first. Our server explained the dishes with genuine enthusiasm, and we landed up with a delicious meal that was whimsical and tasty. The pickle platter is a must - a variety of pickled vegetables presented beautifully. The roti was incredible! Overall an amazing experience and we will be back.

AMAZING! I can’t believe we didn’t find this place until now. Love the idea of “wine bar, for those who prefer craft beer”. The food was absolutely delicious, really unique creations, haven’t had anything like this. The Potato Rosti was my favourite. I’m so glad we found this restaurant, we’ll definitely be coming back!!

Came here for dinner with friends. Service was great, server was well educated on the food and was able to help with recommendations. She keep our table full and water glasses full. Decor reminds me of your grandma's house with old portraits and antiques and warm lighting. Family style, I had: Charred broccoli in a sweet cream sauce, a little on the sweet side, broccoli a little over; Potato rosti, latke was crispy flavored well, haddock mousse was a great touch, the best dish of the night; King oyster mushroom carpaccio with FIRE, tasty, meat like texture with a smokey charred" flavour. Food mates had pork shoulder which was well cooked
