My experience with Alberta Restoration Company was absolutely abysmal. I hired them to do a mould abatement in our basement & feel compelled to share my awful experience with all prospective customers out there who are wise enough to do their research & read the reviews of their customers, so you do not fall a victim to this company.I’ve worked in the real estate, property management, development & construction for many years & have worked with a multitude of trades as a coordinator. I’d consider myself familiar with what a top performing trade looks like.ARS was incompetent & lacking professionalism since day one. The quotation I received was twice as much as the competing companies for considerably poor workmanship. They weren’t on time for a single appointment. Their staff lacks phone etiquette & basic manners. The supervisor sl&ers his own co-workers to customers calling them “idiots” for their poor workmanship.Their “certified mould technicians” helped themselves to food in our freezer & left the food wrappers littered in the basement. A number of other valuables conveniently went missing during the period that ARS was working in our home. We specifically did not ask them to go through our contents. Even after I notified management, there was no back lash to the staff or investigation on our behalf. There are other reviews online of customers reporting item that went missing during the time Alberta Restoration Services was working at their property. This is not a coincidence.The staff are NOT certified or professional by any means, they are glorified laborers that ARS wants to charge you top dollar for. Don’t bother asking for any official documentation or certificates because the owner Gabriel will give you some long winded, pathetic excuse to divert your legitimate request. You’re entitled to know the identities of who is working in your home, providing ID & proof of certification is your right as a customer. Especially after you were robbed while they were in your property.After they had “completed” the job, our home was re-inspected. The third-party company wouldn’t even take my money & instead provided me with a thorough report as to why the mould readings would be through the roof & would not pass an inspection. Very poor workmanship, jagged drywall, nothing wiped down, or HEPA vacuumed, dust & mould particles everywhere, completely missed removing mouldy studs & asbestos tiles. The manager Joe damaged our walls & offered to repaint, then retracted their offer. A 3 day job took over 2 weeks. Meanwhile, the footnote on their quotation reads “we know we always do a good job”.They throw a ridiculous bill at you & expect you to pay without question. Do not be fooled by this, you have the right to know exactly what you are being charged for in terms of labor, materials, disposal fees etc. Their mark up is obscene & they refuse to be transparent with their customers, deflecting all of your questions, stating “we don’t provide break downs”. I read this is earlier reviews, & it is very true.After all this, I was at a total loss for words & quite disappointed in my judgement for choosing this company. I sent Gabriel a very upset message informing him of my terrible experience. After waiting for 5 days for a response, I had to reach out to get an answer. At this point, I’ve established that this company is never stepping foot in my home again & does not deserve a second chance to correct their wrong doings.Extremely poor problem solving, totally unwilling to compromise, they were unable to come up with any sort of solution other than paying them in full for incomplete work. You will not get your money’s worth with this company, dealing with them was brutal & agonizing. I had a number of other abatement companies come afterwards to quote the remaining work after ARS was “finished” & it was laughable to these trades people, quoting that companies like this are a disgrace to the industry. Customers & trade partners BEWARE. In the end I was left disappointed, robbed and disrespected.

I very much regret hiring this company. Furniture was damaged, they only did a partial job, electronic item was stolen. They damaged other flooring in the suite and now refuse to repair it. Called them 25 times to get resolution but only broken promises. I have to sue them unfortunately.

After reaching out, I was contacted by Gabriel who was initially swift in responding to handle the light water damage at our place. After being told a report would be completed and back to me by the next day at noon, I sent one text day to follow up for about a week. I recieved one message back saying they would get back to me, and then silence. I was never sent any invoice, and the initial deposit was sent via e-transfer.Would not recommend this company. Incredibly frustrating experience.

Extremely poor work done, the job was sloppy, and garbage management was very bad. The work ethic of the contractors was pitiable. After problems we had, they postponed the work for an extended amount of time. Lack of training and responsibility.

Gabriel, from the Edmonton office, was very responsive. He did an on-site inspection and he and another crew member came out later in the afternoon. They cleaned my shed that had been invaded by mice, disinfected all of the items from the shed and disinfected the floor. Both gentlemen were extremely friendly and helpful. I feel I have received excellent service form them. I am very pleased with my experience and I am glad I called Alberta Restoration Services. I would not hesitate to call this company again should the need arise. I feel confident in recommending them for restoration services.

Alberta restoration was very helpful and knowledgeable.Arrrived and went to work on sewage back up immediately.Job was done in timely manner.Great guys recommend them to anybody.Thank you!!

They tell you that they will handle everything via insurance. They come in and tear up your bathroom. After that, they ask for incredibly over priced estimate. And hold your bathroom for hostage.It’s an extortion rackets.Now they made another company and wrote themselves phony reviews on google. Go check google search results

We had a sewer back up at 4:00pm and by midnight we were back in action. They were past professional and did amazing work. They properly sealed off the work area and everything was properly cleaned and disinfected, left cleaner than when they started.

Omg! Highly recommended!!!!Gabriel and his crew came to our home right away it was a long weekend and no one else picked up their phone or took us seriously Alberta restoration services did and they arrived with equipment set up 1:10 min from our call they also didn’t make us pay for some mold removalThank you so much Gabriel!! Proceed with Caution!Gabriel scammed me. No other way to say it.He responded promptly, discovered what he thought was the source to my problems, a leak behind my bathroom wall coming from the roof. All seemed well so far, Gabriel seemed nice, and I wanted to get to the source of the leak, so down comes the drywall. He tells me he’s going to test for asbestos, provide a receipt, and come back to finish up after I hear from my insurance. Then asks for $1000 deposit which I sent to ktizzard@g (must be the 5 star reviewer below).I paid it and then never really heard from him again. A few phony replies, but no legit response or work was done afterwards. No receipt and no asbestos test results (there was asbestos btw).Would not recommend.
