Excellent choice! It was a Monday evening and quite a few downtown options were closed. Glad to have found this place! Inside is pretty lovely. Service was nice. Did didn't take too long. Dinner came with great bread.Food was excellent! Very professionally prepared. Price range is reasonable, especially for the quality and prep. I thought their calamari was one of the best around. I often get it at any new restaurant just to see if it's any good. Most places disappoint but this place brought something original and very tasty to the table! Get the calamari!

Had dinner at “The Keg” and the service was fast and friendly. Our waiter was efficient and friendly. Steaks were good and I liked the Double baked potatoe. Nice place.

Had a great time. The waiter was very positive and helpful and checked in often, but not much. The food was delicious and didn't take much time to get to the table.

Cannot fault this place. My waitress (Kirsten) was the best. I tried 7 beers. 3 were great. The menu is so tempting. Went with steak and king crab. Best thing I ate this year. And sensible value. I am coming back. Only have 3 more nights in Nanaimo and at least 1 will be here. Come here, you owe it to yourself.

I love the Keg. I eat at them all the time. This was the first time that I went to the Nanaimo location. Everything was good, Not Great. I ordered the prime rib, i asked for it to be Chicagoed. I have had the Prime Rib chicagoed at other Kegs. Except this keg told me they could not do it chicagoed or else it would be very well done. WHAT!?!? Every other Keg in North America can Chicago a steak; except Nanaimo. Too bad...

If you go there for steak, you will not be disappointed. Great food. Better service, especially James. He attended our table and always made sure to explain plates when we ask, and give genuine recommendations. The look feels a bit old.Plenty of parking spaces! Great for gatherings. Kids had a blast with the coloring.
