I went in about an hour before closing time to try to open a new account. I was asked if I had an appointment. No, but observed that there were 3 people behind the counter who were not serving customers. Unfortunately, the only person with the authority to open an account was busy with the only other customer in the bank at that time and they did not expect her to be available before closing time. So I wound up going elsewhere. But they were very friendly as they refused my business.

Had an issue with Scotiabank wrongfully accusing my account to be related with fraud (because I cashed out crypto) and then went into the branch to figure it out where the branch manager and supervisor sat me down and told me that I can’t have any of my money and that my account is under investigation and that I need to come back in 4 hours to give the manager there time to talk with the fraud department. This frustrated me and I was a bit rude. When I came back later they said they’re originally thought of fraud was “confirmed” and that I was a victim of fraud and that for me being rude that they don’t want to do business with my anymore (basically saying I don’t have an account t with them) I asked them which transactions they were confused about and after showing me they were surprised that I provided proof of those transactions form my Bitbuy account there on the spot and they said this would all come out in their investigation… mind you they just told me it was “confirmed” as if the investigation led to conclusive results and that I’m a victim of fraud. In the end they were wrong and I wasn’t a victim of fraud or a perpetrator of fraud and there was no fraud or scams related to my account. I left Scotia bank for td since they don’t want me anymore I guess.

Went in to get a bank draft, rep asked to punch in the card and when pulled up my profile asked me to confirm my current employer and I did. Then She asked me the designation with my current employer as this is missing in my profile.So I replied, I am in a hurry as I am here to get this done in my lunch break and really tight on schedule. Is this is a mandatory Feild ? If not we can do this next time.Rep- why you don’t want to provide this info, this is missing in your bank profile.Me- it ok, I will take care of it later , please help me to get the bank draft.Rep- This is the only Feild left in your profile.Me- Ok, I don’t want to share this information if it’s not a mandatory information for now.Rep- (with weird face expression) I am meeting people like you since morning.Me- What do you mean by that , is that the the way you do customer service.Rep- I cannot deal with you - I will ask my manager to assist you.Me- PleaseShe did ended up doing everything without talking to her manager.Not going to this branch anymoreRep Name - Kritika

Awfully slow customer service, not operating at full capacity, average wait time in line is more than an 1 hour to make a bill payment. I would avoid this branch at all costs.

Staff is really great . Today , One guy was very rude to staff and commented on their race and country . But they helped him and handled that situation very professionally.
