Pirouette Rhythmic Gymnastics Club

Our friend recommended this gymnastics club to us, and we have been with it ever since, for 7 years.The coaches are professional, patient, strict, and friendly. I saw my daughter grew from a 2hr per week recreational to now a 14hr per week provincial competitive surrounded by friends. As a parent, I am very happy with all these, and I appreciate the efforts that the club and the coaches have put forward.I recommend this club to all parents without any hesitation.

False recommendations: The Founder of the Pirouette Gymnastic forces to sell the expensive costumes and forces to sell smaller sizes so that parents have to buy the costume every year for their kids. She forces to sell the small size for toeshoes as well, and tries to convince by saying that I have lot of experience and there is lot of room available Foreg. the material is stretchy or the fitting should be tight. Please do not fall in trap of her recommendations.

Pirouette has skilled and caring coaches who choreograph beautiful routines. Pirouette's programs teach flexibility, musicality, both independence & team work, strength, grace, fine motor skills (with a ribbon for example) cardio, and love of the sport of rhythmic gymnastics. I spent 15 + years with this club and it was one of the most positive experiences of my life. I highly recommend joining Pirouette's program.

I like giving positive reviews when I have good things to say and for the most part I was happy with this spot. I didn’t do a trial class before registering my daughter so I wasn’t sure what to expect going in to it but I thought that gymnastics involved tumbling, floor exercises, bars, and balance beams. This sort of gymnastics was completely different than any gymnastics I had ever seen before (hence the word rhythmic). Still, my daughter really enjoyed it. The reason I am giving 1 star out of 5 is because of the space they have available (a very small room) where the children are told not to touch the bar on the wall (even though the children are very curious about it). Why not incorporate this into the lesson instead of telling them not to touch it? I understand that it may be for older students but if it’s there, then obviously the children are going to want to touch it. Also, I must agree with the reviewer who spoke about the mandatory uniforms. I paid for the uniform and shoes for my daughter’s fall and winter sessions. I noticed that the uniform was a bit tight on her but it is very stretchy so I thought she would be good. During class, my daughter said that her uniform was hurting her and that she tried telling her teacher but that the teacher didn’t listen to her. Instead, she kept the uniform on for the entire one hour class and came home with a big red mark on her skin where the uniform was rubbing her skin the whole time. I have a photo of the mark it left behind my daughter’s armpit and I would share but google doesn’t allow me to. I can’t imagine how she must have felt, being ignored like that, while in pain. Parents aren’t allowed in the class with the children, which is understandable, but I really wish I could’ve been there to help my daughter when she needed me most. Poor judgment on your part, Pirouette!

My daughter has been with this club for 10 years. The club helps her become a wonderful girl. The coaches care all the girls very much.
