Lockstop Cafe

Too expensive. Ordered 2 breakfast bagels and 2 coffee and the bill came to $24. Not cool considering the bagel was burnt and the piece of bacon was small. The coffee taste awful. Oh but wait you got 4 small blueberries on the side. Do not recommend for breakfast anyway. Idk about lunch.

A tasty coffee, beautiful view and the warm welcoming host. Do you need anything else in a cold weekend morning in December? When I visit this place at the first time I was little sad for a family stuff but as soon as I step into the door for a coffee, something bright and warm atmosphere made feel better. I've visited only once but this is one of my favorite coffee shop already. I recommend to everyone visiting Kawartha lakes.

Stopped in for something to eat, was glad to have chosen Lockstop. The staff are awesome. The food was delicious, I highly recommend trying any one of the delicious baked goods for dessert. Cheers!!!

We've always had positive experiences at the Lock Stop Cafe. Kelly, the owner, is friendly and is passionate about serving good, fresh food. The cafe itself is bright and clean, and the food is always tasty. The bagel breakfast sandwich with turkey sausage is solid, the coffee is good, and the baked treats are the real standouts. Try the butter cake or sangria brownies.

A cozy... friendly... sweet... place I frequent when I'm in the area. Looking forward to community events here in the future. Love the artwork displayed supporting local artisans. Soft picturesque snow falling outside. LockStop Cafe is a dear nest of relaxing comfort.

Happy to see it up for sale!The service was awful when a group of friends and our kids went in to grab breakfast. We waited 40-60 mins for our simple breakfast and coffee order. We waited on the outside patio as some of our group was brought their orders WITHOUT cutlery which then forced them to go inside and get cutlery. I had ordered a simple fried egg sandwich and after 40 minutes of waiting I went in and asked about it. It was not ready.At one point the manager or owner comes out and gave my husband and I SASS. One thing she said was “I can see your body language. What’s wrong?” She didn’t own up or apologize for the wait she just gave us sass. I’m sorry but 40-60 mins is NOT an appropriate time to wait for coffee and a breakfast sandwich. I could have run home and made breakfast for everyone in that time.After that we had enough and we asked for our order refunded because we had such a terrible experience. Not impressed.I hope a new owner comes in. I live in Buckhorn and we need an awesome cafe!!!

Delicious Soups, Sandwiches & Pastries Galore! Some great coffee too just to name a few things they offer! Sure worth it to stop in for a treat !!

This place is Awesome. Awesome coffee!!! The best brownie I've ever eaten in my entire life... and I've eaten a lot of brownies. HahaOwner is super sweet too. If you're visiting buckhorn, definitely include this place in your visit
