Amazingly helpful! Went in off the street without forewarning, the chap, Micheal, couldn't have been more helpful! Pulled numerous specimens off the shelf, helped with measuring and pulled a good price too! This IS the place to chose if you need advice, services or equipment on the island or Vancouver!!

I was visiting BC from the States and they were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about their vast array of products. Best quality I've seen by far. They prepared the paperwork I would need to bring my purchases home and I breezed through Customs with so many compliments on my selections. I highly recommend checking here first - family owned and run, too. Excellent quality leather, furs, and hides. Thrilled to stumble upon them in Nanaimo!

The best place around for all your leather needs. If you live on the mainland, like I do, you can call in and get expert support from incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff. I've been shopping with them for at least a year now, and I've never had a bad experience.They carry practically every type of leather you need, and they'll send pictures if you can't make it in yourself. Reasonable shipping and excellent customer care, they're the place I go to when I need any sort of raw leather product!

I emailed about specialty leather, goat leather for bookbinding. I exchanged a couple of emails with Nikole and she found some nice pieces for me to try. After using the first bit up I spoke to her again and she went well out of her way to find me all sorts of great colors and thicknesses to try on my books. They were very well priced, extremely fast in shipping the order, and I found dealing with them to be the gold standard of how businesses should run.Give them a call!

Crochet and Knitters look no further!I was looking for leather for the bottoms of my crocheted slippers. The staff at Buckskin leather were very helpful!They know their products and were able to suggest a type of leather (so many types, I was nervous about getting the wrong kind!) that suited my need.They also gave me excellent advise on using leather tools too, they know their stuff!

Wonderful store, wonderful people, and fabulous products! Love the black buffalo. Makes great hats and small projects with the off-cuts and really reasonably priced! Can't recommend this store enough. So wonderful to be able to see and touch the product before purchasing. And as they are naturally tanned, I can enjoy the browsing experience even with my allergies. Instead of chemicals, all I smell is butter! Makes a huge difference in your shopping experience believe me!
