Stiles Motel

Excellent spot. Retro rooms...an older TV.. was kinda cool. Very nice gentleman that owns it. I wish we lived close to develop a friendship. His wife very sweetly prepared us some food even though the restaurant isn't open. It's located close to other food sources including Timmies! Very clean. The shower needs a new shower head though...the pressure was TOO intense. I would stay again in a heartbeat.At this time...no SD dog friendly rooms but he is working on thatP.s editing to add.. get new fluffy towels.

We stopped in to the restaurant which has been closed aside from serving motel guests,due to covid. This very nice owner offered us a great deal on what he and his wife were having for supper. It was superb. Although they are of Indian descent the food was not spicy, but nicely flavored with fresh herbs. Delicious. We decided to get a room where we planned to stay in town overnight. The room is very clean and comfortable. C.J. has a true servants heart. We did not expected to be served but we truly were tonight. We will come back and I would like real Indian curry chicken,and he said we would.As a fellow Christian I believe God is very pleased with the heart of servant hood we witnessed tonight. May we serve as we were served.I strongly recommend this place to dine and to stay.

The motel was very clean. The owner was extremely nice. They even switched a sofa bed with a regular bed for my son before we arrived - I hadn't even asked = very happy

While we weren’t sure about this hotel when we arrived given its overall appearance, the owner seemed pleasant and personable enough and we greatly appreciated that he wore a mask. As we were checking in, another couple entered the office, also wanting to check in. The owner finished our check in but then asked us to wait in our car until he finished checking the other couple in because he wanted to show us to our room personally. His intent was admirable however after a long day of travel the last thing we needed was a delay in getting into our room. We just wanted the key so we could settle in for the night. After a few minutes of waiting, we went back in and asked for the key and he finally came out with the other couple. He took us over to the room and said he wanted to make sure that the room he gave us had the fridge that we requested. Something that we feel should have been addressed and confirmed prior to us arriving as our reservation had been made in advance.Regarding the room, when we asked if there was a senior rate, the owner discounted the rate from the original price of $149.00 to $129.00. While it did appear clean, when comparing it to the hotels/motels/B&Bs that we stayed in during this trip at the same price point, it was definitely far overpriced. This room was at best a $50.00 a night room.We cannot recommend staying at this motel.

Clean and comfortable, with friendly staff, conveniently located not far off the TCH but far enough to be quiet. We enjoyed our stay.

Owner charged a lot more than when we booked shy of $150 for 1 night! Other than room was clean, this motel needs major upgrading for the amount we paid! No food, no ice machine, no fridge, no in room coffee, window unit a/c didn’t work properly, toiletry supplies limited. We won’t be staying here again!

We had am amazing stay at the Stiles Motel. The rooms were large. Very clean and comfortable. We had a great conversation with the owner. He is really good and offered us a good price for the room. If we are in the area We are staying here.

This is a wonderful traditional motel in the centre of Woodstock. The owner is kind and very welcoming. I've travelled around the world but I haven't received anywhere else a welcome as warm as at Stiles Motel. If you are lucky you will also get to enjoy a delicious curry dinner.
