Sharon Bal MD

I've been a patient for over 15 years, used to be a great office, now I'm desperately searching for a new doctor. Dr.Bal herself is never available. To use today as an example(Dec.2nd), I needed to be seen urgently to treat chronic pain I've been suffering with for months and got told she's not booking until mid January. Even getting an appointment with other medical staff in the office is impossible and a waste of time. Phones are rarely answered lately, I'm sure they're fed up with me but I'm past the point of caring. Communication between specialist and her office is atrocious. Had many lost results in the past. I've given up on making appointments and started using the hospital/urgent care (wasting hospital staffs time unfortunately) because I simply can not get help through this office anymore. I used to be understanding and loved this office but the lack of care has become unbelievable. I've been searching for another doctor but unfortunately none are accepting patients right now.This office is a prime example of our failing health care system.

Dr. Bal has mysteriously vanished & has not equipped her replacement staff with the appropriate work place environment to effectively execute on their job. Where are you Dr. Bal? Have you abandoned your patients?Edit: after posting this, I got a call from Dr. Bals office saying she’s available once every two weeks or so, and they’ve made a note that I prefer to see her… the mystery grows larger! Where are you, Dr. Bal?! Why is your availability so limited? Why do your own staff not know where you are?

Dr. Bal has helped me get through some very serious health issues. Quite frankly, if it was not for her professionalism, incredible listening skills and medical direction, I don't think I would be here.

Dr. Bal has been our family physician for over 30 years, since starting her practice in Cambridge. Recently, service has deteriorated drastically. Not only is Dr. Bal never available, they don't even answer the phone. Currently I have a family member dealing with a mental health crisis and we've been trying to reach the office for going on two weeks without any response. This is absolutely distressing and unacceptable. But what do we do?

I have been with doctor bal for as long as I remember. Sadly the last few years it’s been impossible to get ahold of the staff when you call.I’m constantly calling to get my medication refilled only to find out the pharmacy is still waiting for a return of fax by the dr. Bal and her staff.It’s very scary when you are low on medication and get anyone to help you because the phone isn’t answered and the ability to leave a msg isn’t possible since it seems the msgs are left on the machine to avoid having to receive any new msgs.It’s a real shame as Doc Bal has helped me so much in the past.Please clear your old msgs and get people to answer the phone more often.Even though I called days ago and asked them to send the refill prescription and again today , it hasn't been done and now I’m stuck without my asthma inhalers For the long weekend. They promised they’d send it and yet I am not screwed. Ugh.
