Tavern on the Falls
Hot dogs were good but not spectacular and quite pricey. Interesting topping combinations. Personally, the mustard and pickle combination from the Das Dawg" caused an unpleasant burning sensation in my sinuses. Good music although a bit loud for my taste. Nice view of the falls. The house Ale was very good."

Hands down one of our favourite patios in the city for the summers! The views are phenomenal and the place has a great vibe. The service has been wonderful despite the rush hours. I find the food menu quite limited and wish they had more options on there.Greatly appreciate the throw blankets which are offered to the guests for those chilly summer nights :)

A perfect place to go for a summer drink. Great views of the water, nice cocktails and beers. A limited menu, but tasted good. Not cheap, but a great place to soak in the afternoon sun.

The atmosphere at this location isn't nearly as nice as downtown as when you're seated you can't see the water or falls or even hear them. However it is much more convenient if you're driving as there is a parking lot and parking is free. The food is ok but don't come here specifically for it. It's convenient and nice to have a snack or munch on something if you're here for a while. Drink prices are at a premium but they don't have premium beer or use really premium alcohol in their cocktails. Service is good. Wish they could keep the furniture cushions looking better.

Despite being excited to dine in Tavern, my experience was unpleasant. I started with ordering a glass of RED wine which came out so cold. I immediately figured out it has been delivered from wine box instead of a bottle. I brought it up to the waiter's attention but instead of acknowledging their mistake, they just replaced it with another one that tasted the same! The tuna bowl was OK, though. The waiter also pushed us to paying the bill since they could get the tip before their shift gets ended. Then, we were left with no waiter for a while.

Update latest visit: Hostess on Friday night was very friendly and welcoming. Great to have bilingual service. She sat us with our party right away. The pulled pork taco hit the spot.----Tavern at the Falls had a great location at Rideau Falls where the Rideau and Ottawa rivers meet. It offers breathtaking views that will leave you mesmerized. The prime location provides a picturesque setting that's perfect for a relaxed evening out.The staff at The Tavern are known for their friendly and welcoming demeanor, ensuring that you feel right at home from the moment you step in.The atmosphere is excellent, with cozy outdoor decor and ambiance that invites you to unwind and take in the stunning views of the rivers meeting at Rideau Falls. However, while the location and atmosphere are the highlights, the drink selections and food options may not meet everyone's expectations. Some guests may find the drink choices limited and the quality not up to par, especially considering the high prices. Similarly, the food offerings may resemble those of a hockey rink concession stand, with basic options like hot dogs and tacos, which may not satisfy those seeking a more upscale dining experience. In conclusion, Tavern at the Falls is worth a visit for its stunning location, friendly staff, and cozy atmosphere. However, if you're expecting a diverse drink menu and gourmet food options, you may be disappointed. Nevertheless, for those seeking a relaxed evening with breathtaking views, Tavern is a worthwhile destination, but it's best to manage expectations when it comes to food and drinks.

Was so pleased to find the Tavern open. I'd found it on fb before our trip and planned to visit but saw it was very much weather dependent. The sun was shining so we walked there and it was indeed open. We settled back on the comfy sofa with a beer and a cocktail and ordered the tacos. They were short staffed but we were well looked after. Would definitely recommend for a casual lunch and I can imagine it would be a great setting in the evening, think they do live music nights. A great find, worth the walk.

Place is okay, you have a nice view but food was terrible and overpriced. Got the tuna and chicken bowl, do not recommend.

--Heads up: Careful with Google Maps directions here, the app takes you to a dead end. After leaving the main road, walk towards the lake and turn to your left instead of your right. --Wonderful service and atmosphere. The food is mainly finger food and not to my liking regarding taste, but my husband loved his Korean-style hotdog.I believe their major forte is drinks (which are also pricier than the food) .I had a good Pina colada, however the glass was full of ice and it was small, five sips and it was gone, I would have preferred a bigger glass.
