Bedford-Sackville Connector Greenway Trail, Halifax, NS B4B

Great walking trail. Suitable for all.

This is a nice easy trail that is about 3 km long, however it is a one way trail, so you will have to walk back. The trail is nicely maintained and goes through a variety of locations and environments. It follows the Sackville River and provides some beautiful views of the river. The only downside is that it is also alongside the highway so there is constant traffic noise. Although it is not obvious, you can walk through the Bedford Place parking lot to connect up with another trail that will take you right to the Bedford Basin and Shore drive which connects to the trails along the basin

Great trail, nicely packed down ground that is good for strollers and kids. It is close to the highway and along the river, beautiful but not very quiet. No bathrooms but has benches along the way. There must be a better way to get to the trailheads than the way we went (we parked by Fultz House in Sackville and it's very unclear how to get to the trail from there without knowing where to go, no signage or clear path to the trail head at all.)

The traffic noise is unavoidable. But over all it's great trail. Seasonal blooms and shady sections, benches. Nice river views from bridges. Best parking is in Bedford at the first light is a right turn /at end of bridge another right & head to parking close to river. ( check Google Maps ) or at ball field & athletic area which is before A & W restaurant/convenience gas combo.
