Eyes on Portland

I do not recommend 4 months to find out a prescription Dr Chow prescribed can't be filled. Wife also waited 3 months for her 2 pair of bifocals. Measusurments were wrong one side too high the other side too low. Her 2nd pair also totally wrong measurements bifocal too low. With my trifocals the lab sent them back as bifocals not trifocals as perscibe. To make matters worse they looked like coke bottles. Sales person recommended that I remove one of the prescribe prescriptions. When asked to speak to Dr Chow was told he was to busy to talk to me. Then I asked for a appointment, again was told that Dr Chow will not talk to his patients. I will never come back again. Another 2 months waiting for the refund unacceptable. Don't bother talking to sales they can't help you and employees come and go weekly. This speaks volumes for Eyes on Portland when they have such a big turnover of staff.

Incredible they really helped me looking for my dream glasses. Maddy is pure magic if you suck like me to find glasses she will find it for you! Would definitely go back!

I really cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff at Eyes on Portland. I had my typical check up visit this week, and was amazed at the level of service I received while taking advantage of their buy 1 get 3 offer! I happy with the selection and prices of the product, but what really made my experience exceptional were Hannah, Maddy and Lyndsey. They all helped me in some way, and spent a great deal of time ensuring I found the perfect glasses for me. Hannah really narrowed down my search, and put great effort into my measurement so my glasses would be perfect. She had a great sense of humour, and made me feel like we knew each other for a long time. Lyndsey was new, so she was being trained, but was certainly willing to help in any way and greeted me with the most kind smile upon entry. Maddy was so knowledgeable, and she went out of her way to make sure I got the best deals, while finding what I was looking for. Their service combined really provided the best customer service I have had the fortune to receive in a very long time. Thanks Eyes on Portland for a staff that shows they care and treat their customers accordingly! I will be back.

My experience with Eyes on Portland (and Eyes on Elmsdale) has been mostly negative (with the exception of Parker, whom I believe was genuinely trying to help).Given the amount of retailers offering eye and optical services (FYI Doctors, Vogue Optical, LensCrafters, Hakim Optical, even Costco), there's no shortage of (better) options for consumers, and I strongly recommend (you as the consumer) take your business elsewhere.I highly recommend that anyone reading this avoid the Eyes on" optometry group! With so many other options

Edit - So my wife is now told it will be an extra 3 weeks due AGAIN to their coating machine not working. So they needed to outsource them to another lab to finish it up. It still is not a hard time line. The best they could offer in return was $50.00 off an $800 plus pair of glasses because apparently owning up to service failures is not in their wheelhouse. Let's see if this 3 week time line is real or another fabrication.Good quality eyewear. Good service and very professional and competent staff.My problem is that there is an excessive wait to get the glasses ordered. Both of my pairs that I purchased were 2-3 weeks past their estimate when was 2-4 weeks. The reason both times? Something went wrong with the coating machine. My wife ordered a pair towards the end of February, she is still waiting? It's been in a 2 day coating process for over 2 weeks now. SO I can safely assume that in the coating process" is the canned response for late delivery.My wife is getting headaches from having to deal with her old script. I hope you discount her expensive long wait for this.Sad to say I will not be buying any further pairs from this company. It's great they have a local lab and all but they need to put some money and effort to improve their production speeds as waiting that long for glasses is probably having the prescription change before we even get them.Better honesty

Just in case you cant read my mothers hand writing, she was very impressed with this business customer service and thanked a few names in the note. Thank you for treating my mother well.Others who read this, go spend money here for your eye balls.

Had a great experience at the store. Katie was especially helpful in helping to pick nice frames and met my budget immediately. Will definitely be giving them my business in the future !!Update to my first review, latest visit didn’t pan out as well as first. Went to purchase a new pair of glasses but couldn’t as my last eye exam was over 2 years ago. No sweat I thought , picked out new frames, had them fitted and quoted, and buddy said he would call me the next day with an appointment with a different Dr as my usual guy was booked solid. Never did get the call, so a week later I call back and I would have to wait a month to see someone. Said no thanks, will take my business elsewhere.

The front of house staff are lovely, helpful people but Dr Chow himself is rude and dismissive. Head over to rateMD to see what people think of their experiences with him. The amount of google stars don't seem to add up when you see the rateMD reviews. I won't be returning.
