This company has been absolutely outstanding in terms of costumer service and quality. I was provided with a sponsorship and given a wonderful package that helped tremendously in making my film look crisp and beautiful.If there was ever a problem, I would contact Vahid and he would have an instant solution. I cannot thank him/ this company enough for an excellent experience and opportunity. I would recommend this place to all film makers (especially Cinematographers) looking for great prices, and service. An excellent renting equipment house in Toronto. They also have a couple of studios in house! It's crazy good!I am an up and coming young cinematographer and understand that rental costs are crazy expensive, especially when you don't have the budget. Canuck Camera provides amazing prices that are much cheaper then most places to get the same gear in Toronto. I have to say by far this place takes the gold medal. I've been renting from Canuck Camera for over 2 years now and the crew over there is phenomenal. Renting from them isn't just business, it's a relationship I've grown with them and they actually care about having your camera & lighting needs met. I came here a few years back and was renting some equipment for a student film. We were a bunch of students who basically didn’t know anything, they were super awesome to us. Gave us a great breakdown on all the equipment we were renting out. Vaya was also super responsive to us, giving us a few pointers over the phone while on set.TLDR; give them your money

Unlike others... I did not have a good experience.First off, I am from the US and find the prices are much higher than what is typical down South. I'm used to paying $5/C-stand... not $15. I am also used to paying $5 for a 4x4 black floppy... not $35. This is easily excusable because maybe everyone in Canada has these rates... however the customer service is where I had an issue.Due to shooting over the weekend and not flying in until Saturday, I had to arrange a delivery of the gear for $100 each way.On the last day of the shoot we ended up wrapping early and we had enough time to be able to drive the EQ back to the rental house before they closed at 6pm. I called the rental house to let them know that we were on our way and that we would just drop the gear off and hopefully avoid another $100 pick-up charge.I was told by the gentleman on the phone that he was heading out the door and we must stick with our originally scheduled pickup. I told him that the website says CCC is open until 6. He confirmed that is indeed the case... but he was heading out the door and not willing to wait around for us to deliver the gear on our own.Not cool. Customer service is very important to me. I did not feel like we were treated very professionally...I will not return.

We rented from Canuck Camera for a short film we did recently and it went great! Vaya was happy to answer any questions (we had a lot) and suggested equipment based on our needs. They delivered and picked up everything on time and were very accommodating! The rates are also really reasonable compared to other rental houses in Toronto. We definitely recommend Canuck Camera to anyone looking to rent out some film equipment and lighting!

Honestly what a lifesaver. I was in Ottawa and everything was closed on the weekend and I stumbled up on Canuck Cameras website and called and even though they were closed, Vahid answered and I picked up the equipment on a Sunday afternoon. He was so helpful and I got everything I needed. Prices were pretty much on par with everywhere else but the customer service to help me on a Sunday when they were supposed to be closed was a blessing. Thank you and I will definitely rent again
