Assiniboia Downs

Had a great time. Horse betting seemed impossible to figure out, but after a few helpful explanations from staff, it was great. The buffet was excellent, not quite worth 50$, but not way over-priced.

Canada day celebration was awesome,Great fireworks at 11 pm. Always packed. Summer time lots of great events going on. The parking is huge.

We have set-up our Photo Booth at the Downs for 3 Safe Grads. We had very little contact with the venue but when we did they were very helpful and friendly. In previous years we had very little time to setup due to races being on but this year we had a lot of time to set-up. They provided the tables we needed and allowed us to set-up at a time convenient to us.The venue is large and perfect for the large amount of Grads and their guests. Was not crowded at all. Only down side is the lack of air conditioning. It was extremely hot in the building and had to take a few breaks (taking turns) outside to cool off.Otherwise great venue with lots of parking as well.

Horse races were a really fun night out! Booklets were quite helpful for learning how to place a bet + determining the odds.

Always a fun time to watch live racing. The Grandkids love coming to see the horses as well. The buffet is DELICIOUS. Great variety of food. Something for everyone!

Assiniboia Downs was spectacular. We had our company Christmas party there and everything was set up perfectly. The staff were great and the facility was exactly what we needed for 135 people to party. Thanks Assiniboia Downs.

Hadn't been to the Downs in years and wasn't sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised to see how up to-date and organized the place was. It still has the feel and atmosphere of a classic horse racing track but also has current technology blended in (self serve kiosks etc.) One specific feature I appreciated was the booth on the way in where you can learn how horse racing works. They were very knowledgeable and provided information in a way that was easy for a newbie or someone that hadn't been there for a while to understand.We didn't go to the buffet due to a mobility issue I currently have but my friend went upstairs to check out the restaurant and other areas. Her feedback was positive and that we will definitely being going back for dinner and racing next time.

Assiniboia Downs has been hosting Eid prayer for the past two Eids and I have been here for other events as well.I have to say they have exceptional management and staff.Managing events this big with a lot depending on them is very difficult but they make it look easy

Had a good experience at the Food Truck Wars on May 28, 2022. Event was all day saturday and sunday this weekend. Lots of choices of different foods. Beer Gardens were there. $5 entrance fee. Enjoyed some birria tacos, pickerel taco and sugar coated churros while we were there.
