As you can expect from Gyubee's sister hotpot restaurant, this place has incredible service and food. Food was coming out before I finished placing the order. Our waitress Mia was very attentive and made a lot of great suggestions for us! Would recommend paying the $2 more for two kinds of broth for variety. Value for money is great too - we came on a Saturday night and got two broths and it was just under $50 a person.I would recommend adding your name to the Yelp waiting list early. I put us on the list at 4:50pm and we were seated around 7:45pm.Update: Service is still as good as ever, but the price has definitely gone up here. While it was once under $50 a person just 6 months ago on a Saturday night, it cost us more than $50 for a Sunday lunch today.

Came here with family for Father's Day. I never had Hot Pot before so I was excited to try it. The wait time was quite long - we were waiting in line for almost 2 hrs during lunch.We tried the Sukiyaki Soup and Golden Ox Bone Soup - my personal preference is Sukiyaki. The quality of meats is excellent with a wide variety of meats like brisket, lamb, beef, seafood and fish. The quality and variety of vegetables was jsut as incredible. Soup bases were very good, however note that they are extra in addition to all you can eat price.Besides the long wait time, the only other downside to this restaurant is that when you want to order, you have to flag down your server, whereas lots of other Asian restaurants use a tablet. However, the service was incredible. The servers were attentive and would refill the soup bases when our pots were low.Overall, I would definitely try hot pot again. I might try other Hot Pot restaurants to get a feel for others, but Daimaru was a great first time.

Came here with friends for dinner! I really enjoyed the atmosphere! Wait is quite long- I think we queued for about 2 hours during dinner time. I don’t really think it was that worth the wait, it was decent although I wouldn’t consider it anything extremely special. I think the meat quality is not bad and the soup is pretty good though. Service is standard. Spicy soup tasted too oily so it was difficult to eat any vegetables that were submerged into it- i also kind of wish it was spicier. Sukiyaki was not bad, definitely very sweet but still appreciated it! Overall, would maybe come back in the future! Wouldn’t necessarily recommend but I think it’s a good hotpot place out of a lot that we have in Toronto/GTA.

Awesome experience other than the wait time! Join the waitlist on google or yelp - it'll even tell you roughly how long the wait will be. 2 hour seating limit - but service is extremely fast. The spicy soup had some spices in it that took away from the flavor of the meat - personal preference was the Sukiyaki soup. Highly recommend the premium set.

food is very fresh and tasty. Our waitress is nice and patient. However, we had to leave in 2 hours. We needed more time since my friend brought her 2 kids. Otherwise, I would put five stars.

My go to place for AYCE hot pot. I’m not really a hot pot person but I like this place for hot pot. Food are fresh and delivered rapidly. Be aware of 1-3hours long line up every day! You need to line up on Yelp or else you won’t able to get in the line at all!

AYCE Japanese hotpot? Yes. Everything was great, I definitely recommend the shrimp paste. Looks funny before you cook it, but a delicious surprise! We tried the Sukiyaki soup, Golden Ox Bone Soup, Tomato Soup and Sour Spicy Soup! All great bases so don’t be afraid to stray away from the usual. The only reason this place isn’t 5 stars is because when you want to order you have to flag down your waiter, unlike most AYCE places that give you tablets. However, servers made sure to walk around often, even refilling the soup bases when they got low. Marbling on the different cuts of meat were drool worthy!

There are different soup base offered and the 2 we ordered were perfect. Everything tasted so good. Most liked were the tea bags. I will definitely come back here. I can’t give them perfect score because of the waiting time. It was crazy. It’s more than an hour of waiting just to get seated. Yet reservation was already made before we arrived at the restaurant. Service water were not automatically offered. You have to ask the server before you can get water. We went here Saturday night for dinner but ended up for so so late dinner. I came home with upset stomach too. I will give another try with the whole family next time. I hope there will be some improvements in waiting time. And one more thing, they don’t have chairs for waiting customers.

The snacks are delicious and not to sweet. We tried the brunch tower and our favourite part was the truffle eggs and the potatoes. The place is pretty to bright to be cozy. The staff is very friendly but they had a full house so the reservations looks a bit disorganized. The place was clean but small details were noticeably Like the murky water in a flower vase past it's time and a jacket rack directly behind some of the chairs. Easy fixes that won't ruin an experience but noticeable. I would definitely come again for the pastries or buy for take out.

Quality hot pot at very reasonable prices, note 2hr maximum for dining in and they do track. The interior is very well renovated and decorated, service is very attentive, nice atmosphere. Quality of meats is excellent particularly for the premium menu, lots of variety of meats like brisket, roast, lamb. Quality and variety of vegetables is incredible. Can satisfy vegetarian eaters, large variety of tofu. Soup bases were very good, however note that they are extra in addition to all you can eat price. Two flavours, will run approximately 20$, additional $10 person. The desert menu was very limited, to crème brûlée and Melona, the crème brûlée is very very delicious.Will definitely come back!
