I have been a member of 3 different unions to date and this is the only 1 in which the Union Reps actually deal with workers issues with the workers interests in mind. The other 2 Union's reps were just there to ensure the companies ran smoothly and the workers better fall in line. Which Representative do you want handling your issues when there is a workplace accident or a pay dispute? Think about it.

I had an issue regarding the testing with orderline for my application into the union. There was quite a back and forth with many hoops to jump through but I was aided by a relatively newer associate named Maelyne Javier who was my only means of a voice in the matter and she did an excellent job of hearing my side of the story and finding a way to right the wrongs and solve the issue no matter how many more obstacles seemed to pop up.If it was not for her I would not be able to complete my application and for that I am extremely grateful for her going above and beyond to find a solution to my problem.Thank you again Maelyne.

The way this union has handled Covid & protocols is shameful. They clearly don't care about their on-site workers, the only workers that they've cared about are the office workers. The brotherhood" that they constantly post about is just a front

I have attempted to contact this location on multiple occasions, informing them of mail continuously being sent to my house for someone who has not resided at this address for the last 6-years. You can't speak with someone when calling, and no one responds to my inquiries form (have sent many forms).I will remove this review once someone responds to me.

Training center is well laid out and maintained.previously negative review mentioning CN rail strikes is factually incorrect.IBEW 353 is a construction union and does not represent rail workers

This Union hall has been very useful in helping me achieve my goals as an apprentice and an electrician. Their courses are very helpful and their staff very knowledgeable. Careful, some of their training courses for safety do not provide an actual certification (so if you are looking to get certified, you may need to pay a third party and attend a separate course), but these courses at the hall are mandatory for apprentices, nonetheless.
