Rodney and Christopher designed two dresses for my high energy girls! They were very patient and you can tell that they love what they do.

Rodney and his partner are so lovely, and TALENTED! The work they do is bar none, and they are amazing to talk to!

PLEASE READ the review made by my sister ( Amy Chislett) about a flower girl dress she ordered months before my wedding and the resulting conversation. The owner’s words and actions are not ok. To summarize:The owner went on my private Facebook page, posted professionally taken pictures of me ( a faux pas in the professional photography world to share photos that do not belong to you) and tried to use my failed dress fittings to excuse their work. At every fitting I repeatedly asked for my dress to be taken in and shortened. Each fitting and each design change were made to try and get a dress that fit and flattered me. I had my friend with me at almost every fitting or someone else. I honestly hated the thought of going there alone, I had already paid for half the dress and kept hoping things would get better.The day of pick up the dress still did not fit me nor did it look like anything fit to wear down an aisle. It was still too big and too long. The owner is now threatening to post video footage of me on their shop crying because of how awful it looked and calling this a “breakdown.” This area where cameras are apparently filming 24 hours is an area where numerous times during fittings I was in pieces of fabric being held to my body by my own two hands and tiny pins. It is a very vulnerable position to be in and an expectation of privacy was certainly in place. There was no signage alerting me I was being filmed nor was I ever told.The nicest thing I can say about my experience with Rodney Philpott design is that it was traumatizing. I contacted Christopher Philpott after my wedding privately via their FB business page (before my sister left her own review) and he did not suggest we meet to discuss anything. I have requested a refund for the defective dress and he used his own words to twist a situation he created to blame me for his apparent suicide attempt. This is a very scary accusation to make against a person for leaving an honest review ( please see the the pictures) for your own participation and actions in how you handled yourself, and again, not ok. I know I am not alone. Other brides are speaking up. The owner’s behaviour is emotionally damaging and even more disturbing, he appears to believe his own lies. Even, when the words he used himself are right in front of him in black and white.I have been encouraged by my friends and my family members to speak up about this so here I am. As much as it bothers me to publicly shame a business I cannot in good conscience let this go. I feel others should be aware of this. I would not want to see anyone be subjected to this sort of experience. I also hope that the owner of this business gets the mental wellness help he needs.PLEASE proceed with caution if you are considering having a dress made by Rodney Philpott Design. If you have had a similar experience PLEASE SPEAK UP! Please leave a review. Save someone else from having to go through what so many have also gone through.

Ordered a custom dress and received a dress in complete shambles. Forced to rush and buy a new dress off the rack a week before my wedding. Vilified for telling my story on social media and denied any form of compensation because I stood up to them. A horrific experience over all. Too bad I can’t post photos with my review as evidence of their actions

Extremely personalized phenomenal service

Such an amazing experience! I was a plus size bride and I didn't feel uncomfortable at all, which was something that I was worried about. They were amazing and so friendly! I didn't feel judged at all! My dress fit so nice when they were done! Thanks from the bottom of my heart!

Rodney & Christopher Philpott were really friendly when I was in the store. I really liked the black dress they had on display. After trying it on, my sister, mom, and I agreed it would be perfect for my wedding once we chose a different colour for it. A few days later, I tried on a quick bodice they made of my dress so they could check it fit well. I was also happy to know they ship worldwide.We scheduled further appointments on video as I could not visit the shop. The video appointments had to be rescheduled and followed up. They hung the wedding dress on a mannequin for viewing from my computer screen. It looked nice on the mannequin. The dress was scheduled for the earliest shipping date of 2 months before. It was shipped late. I did not receive my dress until 9 months after my first appointment.In my opinion, the black dress I tried on in store fit me better and was more flattering than the dress they made to my measurements. I tried expressing my concerns. I chose to wear a sample dress from elsewhere and have since returned the dress to the designers and received a full refund from the bank.

Rodney and Christoper are amazing. They have made me feel so comfortable. I ordered my wedding dress online and it needed major alterations. They do great team work. Their attention to detail is outstanding. I am so pleased with alterations - my dress looks a 100% better, thanks to them!
