BMO Bank of Montreal

Literally every service or product they offer comes with a fee to use. They give you a line of credit but don't provide anyway to actually use it; no card to access machines with, no access to online services, and can't use your credit card and then pay it off with LoC because they charge a huge fee. It's essentially useable. Seems like the entire purpose of BMO is to charge you fees for the bare minimum of service.

Spoke with the manager here 2 yrs ago to rectify a problem and after months of no one being able to figure it out, it was finally handled by a CSR @ the branch. But here we are, 2 yrs later, same issue is happening again. Can't ever get to speak with this manager by phone. 6 weeks now and still waiting to talk to her, but they keep letting a business (with a cancelled membership from 7yrs ago) come and go into my account whenever they feel like it, and take my money.

Jared Geboers This gentleman was so professional and knowledgeable it was baffling so easy to talk to and polite he made me feel comfortable taking my business there I would wait to deal with him personally you got questions he has answers

Employees are extremely rude, wont answer the phone until you call them on repeat 10 times, then get rude with you and hang up before your service has been fulfilled. Complete joke of a BMO STAY AWAY

I went into this branch today to follow up on an account update I did at another branch back in December 2022 which didn’t take place.Sunila helped me personally. She listened to my problem, paid attention to what I was saying and spent a great deal of time with me making sure I was satisfied with each step of action she took. She explained clearly the status of my account and my options. I was frustrated when I went into the branch. I came out very happy and satisfied with the resolution.If you are looking to open a bank account or invest go see Sunila Manandhar at this BMO branch.

My branch is located in Clarington and is a wonderful branch. Unfortunately this branch oshawa Taunton road provides horrible service and ignores their customers. Alicia Johnson is horrible at her job, she kept me waiting at my meeting with her after reception called her twice, when I came in her office she was dealing with her personal affairs. Lena the manager is no better, she returns calls but asks more questions than answers. Please avoid this particular branch at all costs, the service here is very poor and you see the attitude of the staff. They have no regard for customers. The promise to contact you but never do. I left several messages with promises of call back.Pick a BMO branch but avoid this one at all costs Oshawa Taunton. There is a high amount of people looking for work that could fill these rolls and provide actual customer service. I will update if anything changes all I wanted was a call back and some courtesy and kept promises.

In general I know the BMO as a bank with no customer service. However, this branch is the worst. I have been in many BMO branches but this one stands out.I believe, BMO does not requires any training for those who are being hired. There should be at least a minimum knowledge of banking for someone who works at the bank.I wanted to get mortgage funds in a form of a bank draft, I provided the letter from the BMO mortgage funding department with all details and no one seems to know what they should do.For every simple banking task, they ask several people to come and check their monitor and can not figure it out and the next person will be called and the same situation.Go to other financial institutions.

BMO is my favorite one.I am dealing with BMO for 19years.All staff members are very pleasant and helpful.But today I had a disrespectful experience from one of the staffs(Selvarajah)I think she is new.She was rude and does not know how to deal with customers. This was my first time unpleasant experience from a staff at BMO.

I usually don't go out of my way to review a branch as I expect a consistent superior experience from these big banks but I wanted to give recognition for the excellent customer service. Always a pleasant experience conducting my day to day banking. Lina the branch manager is very professional and informative. This branch is out of our way but would always make extra drive - worth the time and effort.

There seems to be a reoccurring theme with an employee named ShabeenaSelvarajah and the branch manager Lina based on other reviews. The manager had an attitude that needs to be checked and the employee that reports to her seems like she does not have a clue what’s she’s doing, digging into transactions that were clear and legitimate and asking if they were fraudulent, not only is this insulting, it was unnecessary .. Had a horrible experience trying to get a bank draft, something that take 5-10 minutes took almost an hour as both of them tried to sift through every bank draft I have ever done for no legitimate reason. Kyc was completed for each and every transaction. As a banker myself this is not how you treat your clients, I would highly recommend the branch reviews their day to day processes as they clearly do not take customer service into consideration. I ll be taking my business to another branch, I highly recommend anyone that banks here to do so if you value your time.
