Room was very small with the standup shower in the corner but the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The view from the window was amazing and chairs were out back by the ocean as well. Nice store only 800m away and Peggy's Cove is close by.

We stayed in a pet friendly room in July. It was nice that there was a pet friendly room but it really wasn't what we expected. I am fine with paying a pet fee" although I do find it a bit of a cash grab if your pet doesn't make any mess or cause any damage. It would be more fair to pay a deposit that was returned if everythin was fine. Anyway that wasn't the main issue - the issue was the room. Clearly this room was the supply closet at one time and was renovated into a room. It was so much smaller than the other rooms yet it was still quite expensive. Maybe the other rooms are more expensive I am not sure. The bathroom was the size of an airplane bathroom and the shower wasn't even in the bathroom which could be awkward in some circumstances. The bed was comfortable though and the people were nice - I just wasn't pleased with the room. Peggy's Cove was also not a great destination but that is another review."

They cancelled our reservation on the day of our scheduled visit and gave our room away to someone else stating that they tried to call us to confirm that morning but that we gave the wrong number on our booking. While that’s true, there was a typo in our number this policy is absurd and ridiculous. The lady at the desk (I assume she is the owner?) was completely unapologetic and could care less about the predicament that their choice left us in. Very difficult to find a room at 7PM in the area, we ended up sitting in the parking lot at Peggy’s cove until after 9PM calling every hotel and motel from Peggy’s cove to Lunenburg to Halifax looking for anywhere that could accommodate us for the night. This added a lot of stress during what should have been a relaxing vacation. Let this be a cautionary tale to everyone considering staying here and I urge the owners to reconsider their policy as it really was a horrible experience for us. Every hotel we told the story to were complete shocked that this would happen. A reservation is there to hold the room, not for it to be given away. Even if they had the right number, we were frequently in No Service zones while driving from Digby to Yarmouth to Peggy’s cove, so we would have lost our reservation regardless? Would not recommend staying here.

Excellent motel that is well maintained. If you are wanting to visit Peggy's cove light house and admire sunsets and sunrises, this is worth the money. The prices are high for the property and location which is pretty isolated. BUT if you are a lighthouse lover and like cool ocean breezes - this is well worth the money. The rooms are small but nicely appointed - all of the conveniences of a large full service hotel room. They even have wall unit a/c and heat - but the windows work just as well for cool air. You check-in with the owner(s) at their house located on the property which is quite simple. The balcony rooms are nice to have, but remember they have chairs right behind the property that give you the same view. The only honest draw back - the rooms are not sound proof and with windows open - you will hear cars coming and going late at night possibly and also possibly early in the morning. You will hear tv's from the room next door as well, but you also hear the amazing sounds of the atlantic ocean. So - again, well worth it if you plan on spending much time at the Peggy's cove lighthouse. Also - not sure if they allow pets in every room - but there was a wet dog odor in my room and luckily they had another to put me in. I think people sneak dogs in and do not tell the owners - hopefully they will police this better. And as far as food - you have about 3 restaurant choices within 5 minutes - otherwise its about a 20-25 minute drive to civilization. I highly recommend and will return.

Sam and I loved this place! If we could we would give 10 stars!! The rooms are clean and well designed, backing onto the ocean with a great view! Seats and picnic table right in front of the ocean and some rooms have balconies facing the ocean. The owners are really nice and accommodating! Made a beautiful firepit right in front of the ocean, with rocks for seating and they even brought a blanket for us to sit on!! Absolutely amazing experience and would definitely recommend!! Also just minutes from Peggy's Cove and great restaurants.

I had an incredible sleep the night I stayed here, listening to the waves crashing on the rocks right outside my room. The ocean breeze flowing right through the room was all the natural air conditioning you need. The best surprise, was that I witnessed one of the best sunsets I've ever seen; something I didn't expect to see on the east coast.Clean and comfy room, I recommend this place, and will be back soon...
