Thank you for saving my eyes!In our savvy Internet world, it’s tempting to ‘just’ buy things online from whoever’s cheapest. Like you, I face those temptations, too. But what’s missing from the whole ‘just buy it online’ equation, is the importance of great, frankly legendary, customer service. That’s something previous generations took for granted and now is sorely absent.No more is this more important than with your eyes. I recently had the pleasure (and frankly great eye-saving fortune) of going to Rumi Optical. The owner ‘Moe’ clearly takes great pride in his store and is a polite, jovial, ‘no bull’ type of fellow in a small town sort of way that I thought only existed in Hallmark movies.But where the real story begins (at least for me) is when I was assessed by his Optometrist, Dr. Ghazi. Dr. Ghazi is thorough with a capital ‘T.’ And this makes sense, as Dr. Ghazi was an eye surgeon in Iran before immigrating to Canada. Suffice to say, at the periphery of my retinas, Dr. Ghazi spotted retina holes (something not spotted by another optometrist only a year back at a fancy mall I had gone to). Immediately, Dr. Ghazi made a referral for me to a retina surgeon he knew to be good. Moe, for his part, then followed up with the surgeon’s office on my behalf, ensuring I would be treated in a timely fashion. Less than a week later, I found myself in a surgeon’s office and Dr. Nixon (the eye surgeon at VGH, a visiting fellow for Dr. Mammo) agreed with Dr. Ghazi’s assessment coming to the same conclusion with his equipment and scheduled me for emergency laser surgery about 45 minutes later.And future blindness averted.If you value your eyes – please take the time to go to the experts at Rumi Optical. Their prices are fair, their service outstanding. I bought top-notch glasses and contacts from them and have been thrilled with both. I particularly like the ‘small town’ feel of the office and that Moe knows me by name when I come in. If I could give an extra star, I would.

I have been coming to Rumi Optical for years. The customer service I receive is fantastic. They have a great selection and will also order glasses if you cant find what you like. This is defiantly the place to go!

Spent $400 twice for scratch proof glass lenses, both times within 2 weeks got scratched. They charge you the price but don't give you the product!

About 4 months ago a friend introduced me to Rumi Optical when I was in need of an eye examination, new glasses, and even contact lenses. I received amazing service from the time I entered the store. Great shop. I’ve been coming here for years for my glasses. I’ve gone to other shops but have never had the level of service and satisfaction as I have from Rumi. Mo has a gift for helping you select the perfect glasses... I’ll keep coming back and recommending to friends. It’s hard to walk out with only one pair. Love it! Great selection and Morteza “Moe” the owner knows how to quickly and easilyget you started on your personal path of narrowing down the frame (or frames) that suits the look and feel that works for you. I’ve been trusting his keen eye for many years. Each time I visit I simply ask him to show me frames that are cool and interesting and he‘ll begin pulling frames and I’ll have what I want within 8-10 tries. The conversation is always fun and pleasant, the prices are fair, and Moe is a great person who works very hard to make sure you are happy with your purchase. If he’s busy with other customers when you arrive just give him some time and he’ll be helping you too. He’s a popular guy, so I’m always prepared to grab a coffee or tea nearby and come back in 15 min when he’s free.

Rumi optical is my favourite neighbourhood eye glass shop, and ‘Moe’ the owner is the best! Whenever I go there I know I will come out with a frame that I love and quality lenses. I tend to get overwhelmed by selection and Moe’s ‘method’ for picking a frame is fast and effective. He has a keen eye and ear and pulls exactly the type of frames I’m looking for each time. He is generous with his time and feedback, unpretentious and kind. I’ve recommended Rumi Optical to my family and coworkers and everyone had an amazing experience! Thank you Moe, keep on rocking!

I've been coming to Rumi Optical for several years now. It became my go to place for me and my family. Usually I'm happy with my choices when it comes to frames, and If I'm not sure about certain things, Moe is always there with his famous ways of narrowing down your choices to help you (pay him a visit, check it out). He will always find the best option for my budget and I always get my glasses done super fast! Customer service is second to none.You know, when you walk in to the store and store owner greets you with your first name every time it means something. I know I'm valued as a customer and as a person. Thats how it should be in the community and that's why I have big respect for Moe and he will always get my support. Thank you Moe!
