I demand my $93+tax back. Vaccine consult?? What is that exactly???! I can’t believe nobody made the effort to even tell me the piece of folder paper I was given was my invoice and not a medical report! Our cat was in serious distress because of their very rough if not traumatizing handling at the time and I simply rushed to pay without anyone giving me a breakdown of what I was paying for. This is pure scam and abuse of animal and customer.

I’ve been bringing my animals here for years. Just recently I had to put down elderly cat, and they were amazing. While I’m devastated at losing my girl, I know she was giving the best care.

I brought my 20 year old cat in with labored breathing,  cloudy eyes, wobbly hind legs, no bladder control. All these symptoms were dismissed by Dr Dawson. His diagnosis was UTI and sent me home with an antibiotic. My cat was dead the following day. On a Sunday.A horrific, excruciating death. Traumatizing.I truly expected this vet to tell me my cat's body was shutting down and I should consider letting him go peacefully. But I trusted he was the expert and knew best. When I called the office afterward the receptionist said that I had refused bloodwork.  What!!  What logic is that?? My cat would still have died the next day.I felt he had no time for us, did not seem to listen or care about the symptoms my cat displayed.I hope it wasn't because he didn't have time that day to put my cat down peacefully. It's all I can come up with because how could he be so wrong..

Started bringing my dog here in November of 2021. She was suffering from constant itching of the ears that the previous vet could not solve, so i decided to get a second opinion. She was taken in immediately and ever since, her issue was resolved within a few days thanks to the team here at the Animal Hospital of Milton. They are professional, courteous and very caring. My dogs will forever come here!

Have taken my dog to this clinic for years, they have always been really great with him. During covid they have had a very strict policy to not let you into the office with your pet, which has always been understandable. I was surprised that this was still the case in April/22 when everything else was open. Unfortunately, I had to make the difficult decision to put my pup to rest at a well lived age of 15.5. I took him to get checked out, Dr. Ross suggested blood work along with meds to help his stomach, was surprised when the bill came back at over $400, without any consideration to review the cost beforehand. Given that he was visibly at end of life, I would have appreciated knowing. Blood work revealed kidney failure which made my ultimate decision easier to accept, however to find out that they don't allow you to be with your beloved family member during the euthanasia process was heartbreaking. How could you say goodbye to your pet and leave them at the door??? I was given a couple numbers for home service, which were much more expensive, but in the end I knew that was not the experience I wanted. Thank goodness I thought to call around to other veterinary clinics. The animal hospital on James Snow took my Tobe in and allowed up to 4 family members to be with him. No masks required, as per provincial regulations, and he was given a full check up in front of us which helped us know it was the right time. I also noted that check up fee with Dr Ross is $89 vs $59. When your pet is only there for 15 mins, $89 plus all the other medical services, certainly add up. This is a very knowledgeable and experienced clinic with great staff, but have to say that I did not feel the care in my pets end of life journey...it felt very impersonal and transactional based.

My dog was misdiagnosed with a medical condition called Addison's Disease by the Doctor at this Clinic, two years ago.The symptoms she often displayed was not eating, and as a result, vomiting a yellow substance (stomach bile). I know now, this is normal if your dog is not eating, but I didn't know at the time.As a result, I took her to multiple appointments to the Doctor at this Clinic. He performed some tests and came up with the diagnosis that she had Addison's Disease. This was a shock, as she did not show all the symptoms; such as increased thirst, low mood, loss of weight, muscle weakness, or lack of energy. She was underweight, but that was because she was the runt in her litter, not because she was losing weight. In any event, I made the mistake of trusting this Doctor and accepting his diagnosis, based on the chemistry of the blood tests he performed. My then, two year old dog, was prescribed two medications, twice daily and told this had to be taken orally, for the rest of her life. I was also told that my dog had to come back for medical checks to be done every 6 months.I diligently followed the doctor's advice, as I trusted what he told me. Keep in mind, I have been taking her to this clinic since she was a pup for all her shots, her annual checkup, and to be spayed. I also took her each time I was worried she was not eating her meals as I thought a doctor could advise me if this was normal at times or something to be concerned about. I didn't know.Over the past two years following her diagnosis, I took her there every 6 months for a check-up and blood tests. I asked the doctor about the diagnosis each time during her 6-month check-up and he confirmed I needed to continue giving her the medication. Her symptoms did not improve with the meds as she would still not eat at times.A few months ago I requested the medical history from the clinic as I wanted a second opinion. The doctor reminded me that my dog could die within 4 hours if I stopped the medication. I made the decision to stop the medication, monitor her closely and consult another Doctor, outside of Milton. I was skeptical if there may be any collusion with Doctors in Milton hence the decision. The new doctor indicated my dog does not have Addison’s Disease and never did. This was based on the chemistry results from the history on her file and confirmed with the new test result.…In other words, she never had the medical condition in the first place. My dog has been off the medicine for several months and is back to being well. She is eating her meals that I prepare for her, loving life at the dog park and having a blast on walks, greeting me at the door, bringing a toy and dropping it at my feet when she wants to play. Her entire life is now different.I now worry about how much the medication she never needed has impacted her life, long term, so I cherish every moment with her.My message to a reader who plans to take their pet to this clinic is do your research and seek a second opinion from an independent source, especially if your pet is diagnosed with a long-term illness.Doctors can make mistakes, but when the tests are repeated and results reflect something different, can we really trust their judgement?I truly hope this helps a pet owner, now or in the future.

I have never owned an animal by myself so this was a big step for me with kit my cat. Dr. Ross has been with me the entire way with taking care of kit any questions I have he answered them he's very thorough and he always does what's best for kit for an example kit hates pills dr. Ross made sure to always choose the less stressful way for kit (which is usually injection for his anti biotics). He was amazing with my family pet Tucker who ended up moving to New Brunswick but we still brought him back to the Animal Hospital of Milton because we didn't trust anyone else to help Tucker. I have to say this is one of the best veterinarians in town, and he doesnt cost a lot compared to other places !!

After a few bad experiences at a previous vet clinic I was very cautious trying to find a vet. My friend recommended this vet clinic to me, informing me that Dr. Ross was nothing but knowledgeable and caring. This couldn't be more true, my dog Autumn unfortunately ended up getting very sick out of no where. The clinic was amazing seeing to her right away and giving the care she needed, it was a very scary time for me but knowing my dog was in the right hands made me feel at ease. You can tell every single staff member at the clinic works hard and are all very professional. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my fur baby!
