Waterside Retirement Community

Our short time at Viva Waterside Carleton Place was excellent! The facilities were very good, especially as my husband was recovering from heart surgery and an electric bed was available in our suite. The meals were delicious, with lots of options to choose from. We could also have meals in our room if my husband wasn’t able to go to the dining room. The staff were very friendly, helpful and responsive to our needs.There were lots of activities available to us, but unfortunately we weren’t able to participate due to our circumstances at the time. I would highly recommend Viva Waterside to anyone on a long or short term basis. In fact we hope to be able to stay at the Waterside at the next opportunity. Thanks to the staff for making our stay a great one!

Nice friendly atmosphere, full of smiling community members and team members.Being one of the team members here has been one of my best experiences yet, I love coming to work for this awesome place! I never leave without a smile because of the warmth and awesomeness of the people inside this community.

Pub style bar inside the community as well as a garden out back. All residents seemed happy and looked as though there plenty of amenities. Lobby area was very tidy and staff were well dressed.

I have been a Team Member at the Waterside for 5 years, working as a part-time server in the dining room. It's fun working with a team that makes our Community Members smile and laugh, helping them enjoy their meals everyday. Recently, my mom and dad made Waterside their new home, and they have settled in quickly, making new friends, enjoying the events and facilities, and the meals. They chose Waterside (above other homes) because they were made to feel welcome right from their first visit, and the bright openness of the rooms was an attraction for them. Trigger and her team made their move easy and stress-free, and the staff team has been terrific in taking care of their needs. I am happy to see them so comfortable there.

Waterside is a vibrant, active community. My mom just started living at the Resort" as my own children call it. Their care for her and kindness during this huge transition period was above and beyond. The hot pool

My mom has been at Waterside for almost a year. The staff are incredible, they greet her by name and endeavour to meet all her needs. She is comfortable in her suite and is surrounded by all her belongings which made the transfer from home to residence less traumatic. I have eAten there many times and have found the food excellent.

Highly recommend. From staying in a hotel suite using the pool, to having mom and dad visit for a month. Always good food, great company and an even better view.

Moving a loved one into a retirement community is not easy, it's a big change for everyone and a stressful decision. I will always be grateful to Heather Luneburg for taking the time to clearly communicate the benefits of Waterside and for her diligent follow-up and help with planning. She is not only kind and patient but clearly an expert on all aspects of senior living. I learned a lot and feel better prepared for this next stage of my family's life. She is the ideal ambassador for this beautiful facility.
