Me and my partner went on a trail ride and it was everything we could have imagined! We are inexperienced riders (only been 2 times before this trip) but Nadine and her staff made us feel very comfortable and safe. She is incredibly knowledgeable about her animals and horses in general! You can see how happy the animals are when you ride them. They are very well trained, friendly, and have fantastic personalities. Nadine was easy to work with and responds to emails quickly. I highly recommend the trail ride experience to new or experienced riders! It was beautiful!

My daughter was introduced to Reaching Strides Equestrian Center by a family friend. My daughter was able to begin her English riding lessons with Nadine Bollig and her team. I have visited the facility and often watch the students and instructors in the ring and at the barn. Her horses are beautiful and are very well taken care of at her facility. Nadine is an amazing coach. She has helped my daughter to work through every riding moment both good and challenging, with confidence and positivity. Nadine is wonderfully adept, knowledgeable and empathic teacher who pitches her teaching so that is it both challenging, but encouraging and enabling. My daughters riding and confidence have both improved under her generous guidance. Nadine’s team has made my daughter feel welcomed into the RSEC family and it truly is a family. From the staff to the more experienced rider, everyone has supported and assisted my daughter in her pursuit of riding and has fostered her love of horses. As a parent, I am pleased with the quality of the lessons, the caring and supportive environment. My daughter looks forward to every lesson and hopes to work for Nadine someday. Very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Nadine, the owner was easy-going and cool, but at the same time in control of things, just the way it should be. I was participating in a trail ride, guided by Shelby, who was so nice and helpful in every way and a very pleasant ride companion and made my experience very memorable. Thank you both very much.Horseback riding is a very special and unique experience. Horses are beautiful, powerful and sensitive creatures and the unity of the horse and the rider can teach a person a lot about many things, not just how to ride.

I wanted to get some riding in while on vacation. My trail ride and lesson ended up being highlights of my trip. The staff is friendly, helpful, and safety conscious. Marley was my trail guide. She was confident and helpful. The trails were lovely and there was some beautiful scenery. I also had a lesson with Nadine. It was awesome. I was quickly and accurately assessed as to my riding ability and giving challenging, interesting exercises to do as well as practical tips to take with me.Unlike some instructors, she encouraged me to ask questions and openly explained and discussed anything that was unclear. It was both a high caliber lesson and highly enjoyable. I may never see Nadine again, but I felt very valued during my time with her. She puts her heart into what she does.And the horses are great!!!!!!!!

I bought a horse from Nadine and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Nadine’s primary concern was ensuring a good match for both horse and rider. I was able to ride the horse on multiple occasions before the purchase and she was 100% honest in disclosing every detail about him. The financial transactions went smoothly, communication was great and she even took the time to trailer him and ensure a safe arrival. I am grateful to her for taking such good care of him and ensuring he fell into the right hands. With over 30 years experience in the horse industry I respect Nadine’s commitment to ensure her horses are happy and healthy and I will always be grateful that she matched Robbie and I.

I don't usually do these online ratings, but seeing a recent review (and others previously that appear to be fake) has prompted me to share my story.I have know Nadine for a few years. I am not a rider, nor am I one if her students. I am a horse advocate who simply loves horses and had been involved in the not-so-pleasant rescue scene for a few years. I am also a certified Equine Assisted Learning Coach, which is a type of life coaching where we partner with horses to help people navigate life's ups and downs.While involved in the rescue scene, I saw more suffering in horses and selfishness and dishonesty in those who claim to love said horses, than I'd like to recount. And while getting to know people in the horse world throughout the Atlantic Provinces, Nadine stood out to be one of the VERY few who stood by her word and selflessly acted to help horses (and humans!) in need, time and time again.In the entire Maritime Provinces, there are only a handful of people I would recommend, and Nadine and Reaching Strides are at the top of that list. I currently have my 30something year old horse boarded with Nadine, and he is thriving. All of the horses at Reaching Strides are thriving. Whenever I visit I see smiling faces (students) and sparkling eyes (horses).Thank you Nadine for everything you do for the animals and children in your care. I have so much admiration and respect for you and your team.

Nadine is amazing equestrian coach and trainer. I began taking lessons with Nadine in 2008. When I was ready to purchase my own horse, Nadine was there with me, I trusted her knowledge and guidance. We found the perfect horse for me. Over the past 13 years I have boarded my mare with Nadine off and on as well as have done some lessons, trail rides, and boot camps. All great experiences. My mare has been boarding at Nadine’s the past 2 years and I never worry about her care, I totally trust she will be well taken care of with Nadine. Definitely recommend Reaching Strides Equestrian Centre.

I took my 9 year old son to his first horse riding lesson here this morning, and it was simply an awful experience. My son had a lesson with Nadine, and despite clearly listening and trying his best to follow her instructions, Nadine continually told him he wasn’t listening and was being rude, which was simply not true. Ultimately, he was in tears and asking to stop the lesson. He was in distress and expressing his distress clearly and appropriately, yet Nadine did not listen and insisted he continue even though he was in distress. This person is clearly not an appropriate person to work with children. Do not bring children here

I was 12 the first time I met Nadine. Since then, I've been a student and mentor of Nadine (Reaching Strides Equestrian Center) for over 2 decades. I've taken lessons and have boarded multiple horses with Nadine over the past 20 years. I've hired Nadine to help train a couple of my horses and was even employed at Reaching Strides Equestrian Center for a live-in summer position while I was in college. Nadine is extremely knowledgeable, she has always provided excellent care to my horses and is an extraordinary coach who encourages her students to reach their full potential.If your looking for anything horse related Nadine should be your first contact.

I had tears of joy in my eyes while I watched my daughter ride at Reaching Strides (RSEC)with Nadine’s horses and her coaching. We travelled across Canada to take lessons with Nadine, the owner, because RSEC was highly reviewed and our daughter always wanted to ride there. It is beautifully located in Cape Breton, NS. It was one of the best few weeks of our daughter’s life. She had an absolute blast with wonderful people supporting her and surprising her with trail rides. Nadine understands horses extremely well and our child was placed on several beautiful and loving horses who helped our daughter become a stronger and more confident rider. Nadine loves to help people (any age) on their riding journey. I watched her coach, and she was phenomenally well spoken and encouraging when needed. Our daughter even had a chance (or two) to work with the local farrier! I highly recommend RSEC to any individual who wants to spend some time with beautiful horses and friendly staff. We would be back there every summer if we could!
