Honu Boat Charters

We had a great day on the water in a place called Indian Arm, The Captain was really friendly and helped us recommend this cute place for a peaceful time with the children with swimming and BBQ! The kids really enjoyed Jug island.I recommend this experience to anyone that wants to enjoy a great family day!

Really clean boat!

Our boat tour began with an overview of safety rules, which consisted mostly of horror stories from previous tours. We were told about the injuries from previous sailors, what not to do while on the boat, and the consequences of actions if we were to break any rules.Our food was served incorrectly, even after it was explained that some of the sailors were vegetarian. When asked to correct the errors, we were met with hostility. Half of the food we brought on the boat was not served to us. I also question whether Food Safe guidelines were practiced during food delivery.The tour of the Indian Arm itself was incredibly beautiful and serene. The captain’s two assistants were mostly polite and quiet. The captain himself can be described with a single word: misogynist. Every sailor on the boat was female. There were countless encounters of singling women out, speaking down to us, and making inappropriate sexual references.By the time the tour ended, we were cautioned with a message over the intercom that we had less than five minutes to get off the boat or else we would be charged more for our time. We were not permitted to do a sweep of the cabin to ensure we had all of our belongings without accompaniment of a staff member. As we were exiting the boat, there were verbal assaults towards passengers, being told to go home and that we were cheap. Ultimately the captain took $100 from our deposit despite there being no damage to the boat. The only two people on the boat that deserved any tip were the two assistants. Unfortunately, after the captain’s blatant misogynistic behavior throughout the boat tour, no one was afforded a tip, as many of us felt genuinely threatened.I would not recommend hiring this captain for a boat cruise. If you are planning on booking this cruise for someone else and they are female, I strongly advise you stay away!

Rented a boat in Vancouver only to find out after the fact it was docked 2 hours away on the Sunshibe Coast. Conversation went nowhere as he insisted it was always clear.. Yet it never was and website is now changed to reflect better info. Just a coincidence? He gave us a story that he would return the money if he could find another renter, and even though there was supposedly 2 others he had to turn away for July 1st no one showed up to rent, or so he says.The company was misleading, unprofessional and not worth dealing with.

The cruise is perfect for families and friends. The captain Guy, his son Oliver, and the staff are amazing people to know! They serve my family and friends with lots of patience and respect. The buffet on the cruise was so delicious and the price for both cruise and food was fair. We had wonderful time on the cruise. Thank you so much.

Do yourself a favour and stay far away from this charter unless you want a deeply regrettable experience. Plenty of others to choose from.

Really great experience! We booked the yacht for the day with family. It was nice to get away in nature during the Covid! We really appreciated the attention to detail of the host and his patience with our kids that were so excited to enjoy the water. We certainly go back with friends or for our weeding anniversary!
