DO NOT RECOMMEND this builder, the worst experience I have ever witnessed with whom claims to be a professional. HelixGroup was responsible for our new home construction, two days before the closing date of the new build, we were passed off a bill with a large sum of money owing that was labelled as “overages” throughout the build. I agreed upon specific overages throughout the build but (“29K in overages due to price increase”) was not mentioned throughout or agreed upon, and then gets labelled as “overages” on the final bill with no receipts to prove what the cost increase was from. The Builder would not provide receipts for this, stated it would delay closing another two weeks and that our construction insurance was nearing end on the property and that would have to be extended at our cost as well. To this day, I still have yet to receive any receipts of what the large sum of money was for that I paid.After a number of discussions I decided to settle and pay the large sum of money to this builder and move into my brand new home.Six months down the road after moving into my brand new home my front door was damaged, the builder refused to fix this, so I contacted warranty. The warranty company deemed the door as demolished, the builder was then responsible to fix this.Fast forward 12 months later, my door has still yet to be replaced, the builder stated the door slab was ordered in February and it came 6-8 weeks later damaged.I contacted the supplier, the door did not come damaged, and it has been in the shop since March 20th.If you have any luck on your side steer clear of this builder and his unprofessional disgusting behaviour.
