SOS Appliance Repairs

Called SOS and they had a tech out next day.Lio came, very professional and polite and did a great job with the repair and the advice on how to use the machine so it will last longer.I would recommend Lio and his company to anyone looking for great service.

Very happy with the service we received. Our washing machine broke during the holidays and we still received prompt service. Our service technician, Muhammed, was very professional and went above and beyond to keep communication open by updating us on order status/expected delivery/time of arrival. A call was always placed about half an hour before he would show up, which I really appreciated. We would definitely use this company again for any future repairs and would recommend them to anybody needing an appliance repair.

NEVER USE! Unprofessional!! Never warned me that the make of the appliance is notorious for a particular issue. Therefore I agreed to a repair, and I waited weeks for the part to come in. During that time I was pretty much ignored, despite my repeated inquiries. So I called the main line again, they told me he was trying to get in touch. Upon review of my doorbell cam I saw that, the technician showed up unannounced to my place when I wasn't home. I am told he called, but random calls, from an unknown number and no messages is not professional or normal. The technician added days to my wait because they cannot leave a voicemail??? The problem was not fixed, due to a notorious brand issue I discovered after the fact. IF!! I was warned, I wouldn't have ok'd the repair. After my run-in with SOS, two other repair places I consulted, told me they never touch the brand, and I should have been told. So I called to complain, and suddenly the technician starts repeatedly calling me directly, 5 times in 10 minutes with no messages, obviously his intention was to harass me. So again I spoke with the phone agent who promised me a call from management. This happened TWICE, both times they made promises that management would call me to discuss the issue. They still haven't, weeks later. I was weeks without an appliance. They were opportunistic, management felt no need to be accountable for their technician's behaviour, nor their own. Teach the technician decent and professional behaviour. This company is dismissive, inconsiderate, uncommunicative, disrespectful and not willing to believe the customer! I am left hundreds of dollars poorer with a garbage appliance with a useless brand new part. It took me weeks to write this review, I gave them an opportunity to respond and they refused to. $$$ over reputation. They left me no choice.

I called first thing in the morning concerned that our dishwasher was leaking. I got an appointment within two hours. Lio was all of the above plus kind, friendly, and helpful. Our dishwasher is now fixed and we know what to look for in the future. We will use SOS Appliance Repair again but hopefully won't need to too soon!

I can’t say enough good things about Mo, who came this morning to fix my dryer. He was SO efficient.. so friendly and very tidy. He got the job done in good time and told me not to hesitate to call him back if there was anything else so needed. We need more technicians like Mo..he certainly is a credit to his craft.

Our washing machine needed a service and thorough cleaning. We contacted S.O.S on a Wednesday and a technician was scheduled for the next day. Mohammed was extremely helpful and professional. He worked efficiently and left everything tidy and clean. We would use this company again.

Had a service call a week ago. I was told my compressor was not working. I contacted Samsung and there is a warranty on the compressor however they needed something from the company stating that the compressor was the problem. I contacted SOS the same day and I've been waiting for over a week for a response. I got an response on Thursday stating that I would need to pay another $100.00 for the service guy to write that the compressor was the problem. The crazy thing is I was going to use them to repair the refrigerator now I have to find another company to do a service call..which is gonna cost more money. I basically paid them for nothing. I was told that the manager would be in contact and I still have not received a call.

REVIEW UPDATE: JANUARY 2023So a representative from this company called to apologize for the misunderstanding (see original post below) and offered to give us a refund in the form of an etransfer if we took this review down. I let him know the review would come down as soon as the refund has been received which he said would be the next day. It has now been over 2 weeks and no refund. My husband even called to follow up about a week later and they assured us we would be getting it the following day again and it never happened. If this review is still here, you’ll know I STILL haven’t received a refund.I am so disappointed with this company. My oven started overheating and burning our food a few days before Christmas so I called for someone to come check it out. I was told there was an $89 fee for the tech to come diagnose the issue but if we agreed to proceed with whatever work needed to be done they would wave that fee and just charge for the repair. The tech came and told us the control board was malfunctioning and needed to be replaced. He told us this would be quite expensive and that it would probably be best to buy new stove. He then told us he would reset the control panel to buy us a week or so to try to get us through the holiday which we appreciated. When everything was said and done he hands us a bill for $226. He said it was for the labour to reset the control panel….. why would this not have been disclosed before he did the “work”??? Just assumed we’d be ok to pay $226 for a broken stove that needs to be replaced a few days before Christmas without asking us if we would be willing to pay that much? So for about 25 minutes of “work” (a lot of the time spent chatting and not actually doing anything) we payed $226 and now less then 24 hours later the stove is doing the same thing. He did nothing. I feel robbed, 2 days before Christmas too.

We had Mo come help us fix our oven. He was so genuine and nice, he showed me exactly what was wrong and explained how he was going to fix it. He even called me to see if he could come earlier than what my appointment time was and was quick in fixing the problem. 100% would recommend.

My dryer stopped working on a Sunday morning and Mo came out that morning to repair it. He was polite, knowledgeable and quick to repair. I am beyond grateful for the service he provided especially so quickly! The labour cost was a bit more than I expected (I also did not get that clarified before) but the service Mo provided was above and beyond so I would highly recommend SOS. Thanks Mo for being so quick and efficient!
