Amaranth Foods - Southland Market
This is my favourite health food store. They support local vendors, the selection and prices are pretty good. If they do not have something you would like, they will order it in for you, if they are able. The staff is outstanding. Senior's discount on Tuesday is a bonus.

Amaranth rocks. I have been a dedicated shopper at the other two main natural grocery stores in Calgary for years, but now Amaranth is my go-to. Their zero-waste home cleaning products, baby food/formula, and kombucha selection are the best in the city. They also have the genuinely nicest employees!

Love this store and the fact it is practically right behind my house....can I say more! Wonderful healthy selections of fresh and packaged foods. Love that I can get things here without having to drive far. Chocolate and bread sections are amazing. I appreciate the frozen food section where I get my organic berries for my smoothies! Prices are comparable as well. Staff are great and I love supporting family-operated businesses!

So happy with this store and how close to home for quick pop-ins on healthy items I cannot find at regular chain stores.The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable, with recommendations and insight much appreciated.Also worth mentioning, this store is spotless! Floors, shelves, displays etc.A pleasure to shop there.

My family and I are so pleased that Amaranth has moved into our neighborhood. The organic produce is fresh and beautiful, I'm always astonished at how much variety including from local producers, is stocked on the shelves, the prices are competitive with other leading organic grocers and the staff is lovely. Thank you Amaranth - you have truly improved the quality of life for both myself and my family.
