Hadn't been to this consulate since 1996 (for a passport request). Was pleasantly surprised to see a lot has changed for the better since then. For starters, the website is highly informative. Was able to request fiscal codes for multiple people with ease, via email. These requests were processed within the same week (Thank you, Marzio)! Also had to visit the consulate personally a couple of days later to get a document authenticated/notarized. Again... made an appointment with ease online and all was completed quickly and efficiently (Thank you, Laura)! Only minor hick-up was that they only accept cash so I had to skip out to a nearby ATM. In any case, the overall experience was an extremely positive one. Their by appointment only" model helps ensure that there are no crowds when you arrive. Big thanks to John at reception for keeping me entertained while I waited to be called for my appointment (consulates can be intimidating places at times but he does his best to put you at ease). Thanks to this experience

They are very quick with email response and are very helpful. I had millions of questions, but they answered all with zero wait time. I am resident of Ontario and I was not sure if I can apply through Montreal as there are no appointment available till December in Ontario region. And they were able to help me and mention that I am not eligible to apply at the Montreal location. The fact that they instantly replied without wasting any time, tells me that they are very professional and respect peoples time. I am very glad to interact with them. Thank you so much for all your help.

Unable to reach them via phone. I have left 2 messages a week ago and have not heard back.

I have been trying to get a hold of an agent, during that time I could’ve built another home, gone on 4 world tours and most probably join Elon Musk on his quest to go to Mars, the waiting is ridiculous and worst of all I still haven’t spoken to an agent!

They simply lost my passport by sending it to another person while putting his photo in my passport. Last time visiting Italy.

I've been trying to get in contact with them for at least 3 weeks now regarding my appointment for my passport. I finally got someone to email me back for her to tell me that my appointment wasn't registered in their system...thinking I would be able to send my application directly to her to see if she can maybe help me, its been a week and no response by email...I have been trying to call for the past week and again there is no answer! the next available appointment is in May and I can't wait that long and every time I try to make another appointment its telling me that I tried to many times.

Since it's very busy, it took a long time to book an appointment for my passport (2 months)! But once there, the staff was nice and they renewed my passport really quickly.
